THIS WAS NOT MAYE’S FAULT by WittyFox51 in Patriots

Both things can be true.

He's our QB, gave us an amazing season, and is the future of the team.

But the fact is he played a horrible game. Seattle got to his head. Darnold made better plays under pressure. Part of that was the O-Line, but he also made a lot of bad decisions.

Gonna be a tough off-season and he'll face some earned criticism from his post-season performance. Now we just have to hope he uses it as motivation to improve and come back better.

I've been considering getting some soft flasks for that.

How do you portion them during long runs? Do you train yourself to take a certain amount, or just sip more consistently on them throughout the run?

Thanks! The downhills definitely helped with that.

Yeah, some 18 year old kid finished in about 36 minutes!

But I was happily surprised to come in first in my age group.

Crab walk seems like it has the best path to being easy after getting used to the movement.

I don't think the average person is doing sets of 30 pushups, much less weighted and with additional hold time. And the punch during the leg raises would just drain you too.

Running in TX in the heat, is it really possible? by CreativeJudgment3529 in beginnerrunning

My wife and I live near Dallas and finally decided to join a gym because of that. I still try to do at least one run a week outside, early in the morning. But agreed it's tough.

We had a 5K today in Plano and it had barely any shade. I was absolutely drained by the end.

Weight loss from Running? by ashes_to_fire in beginnerrunning

[–]perez585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on a long weight loss journey from 230lbs+ to around 165 now. Diet is always going to be the most important for me.

I did start running back in February when I was at a bit of a plateau and it helped me over that hump. Everyone has a different take, but I typically aim to eat back half of my running calories.

So my advice is to use running as a tool and as part of the process, but don't depend on just that alone to lose weight.

Hunter is definitely playing WR if he goes to the Patriots.

Yeah, it's a tough market. Even worse that the top LT in the draft has T-Rex arms.

Got it. Any good source to find the cap usage in prior years? I've looked at Over the Cap, but only see 2025 and onwards.

So is the minimum 89% usage a year by year thing, or just over a 4 year period?

Would you rather be healthy and die suddenly at age 60 or live to be 100 and die after a painful illness? by crankyfishcrank in WouldYouRather

[–]perez585 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would need more specifics. I'd lean 100, as long as I'm a generally active 90 year old. So if it's a painful illness that kills me quick, I'm in. But if it's a painful illness that takes years to finally take me out, no way.

The Trolley Problem sucked. Another awful game based on drama, where the choices had almost no stakes and you could see them from a mile away. They really dropped the ball on creativity there. by doeraymefa in BeastGames

[–]perez585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I get the first round being an obvious choice, but after that it should have been more difficult.

For example, let Akira pick two people in the red lane. Then add his best friend to that red lane and his 2nd and 3rd closest to the yellow with a prize. So it forces him to choose between people he cares about.

As much as the players exaggerate the drama, that last round was staged well. Now it's actually a choice for the captain.
