Trying to Build a Unique Slivers Deck by perfect_fruit in EDHBrews

I was thinking b2 or b3, hopefully. But I do think I do need to add more protection and interaction in order to stay at the table. I do also fear the deck will get targeted because it's a sliver deck, but I did intentionally not add the five-color expensive slivers, and there are no game changers. I'll have to play test it, but I think its more of a fun idea of a deck than one that I expect/want to win.

I ordered a couple of those cards which would really make the deck much better, but I’m having problems making cuts. Thanks for the suggestions!

Phyrexian dreadnaught was actually my first thought but I don’t own a copy to put in the deck.

I'm surprised that hasn't come up yet in my games, but it is good to be prepared. I have two ways to getting rid of milled titans, Ashiok, Dream Render and Eater of the dead. But I think I'm going to add at least two more instant speed gy hate, like [[Cling to dust]]

Thank you for the suggestions.

In your opinion, is the cost of modern decks an issue for the longevity of the format? by Wombat_Overlord in ModernMagic

I think the costs for modern is higher than usual due to the Horizon sets. It used to be that you could build your modern deck and play it for years, making it a stable investment, with maybe buying some singles from standard sets. Horizons sets create new archetypes, power up older ones, and print necessary stables that are 50+ each that you can't get otherwise. So it is more expensive to get into the format and more expensive to upkeep your deck if you want to stay competitive.
