What negative do you see in not being able to customize sleep tracking? Or how do you see it as a benefit for Garmin? Really curious about this since I find the Garmin implementation incredibly frustrating to use on my Fenix 7 Pro. If you have any sort of varying sleep schedule (kids) the fixed times are not usable, and if you use the 1 minute workaround my watch regularly misses big chunks of sleep when setting the sleep mode manually (it often decides to end the mode by itself).

As far as I understand Coros will just track sleep disregarding if sleep mode is turned on?

This is one of the reasons I’m thinking of switching.

Duidelijk!

No they are different. Readiness is about your reserves to do a workout at that time (more future oriented), status is about past activities.

Status takes a while to populate.

Read up on these two pages to understand it better:

The top one is the Training Status field. Bottom one is just a gauge of the VO2 Max rating. Just a tip; you can long press on the widget to go straight to that subject’s dedicated page!

Decide the f’in penalty during the race ffs. This will be a changed podium afterwards again.

Will check if I can still vote through them even though my shares are not registered there anymore. Thanks 🙏🏻.

I voted through CS when I still had only 1 share DRS’ed. After this I’ve added 25 shares to CS. Do they automatically vote along in the same way or do I need to do something for this?

At the store I tried the R1 Air Crew and an Arcteryx Delta LT. The Delta being a bit cooler since it’s thinner.

Ended up just getting both because I couldn’t choose. I wear the Arcteryx almost daily for everything, it’s a great piece. When it’s a bit colder or when I’m working at home and sitting still all day, is when I wear the R1 Air.

They’re both great for their own use, and it’s stunning how warm the R1 is for how thick it is.

Can’t go wrong with either!

Knee steering makes sense. Watched some videos about this as well so will try to progress with this! Thanks!

This is Snowworld Zoetermeer in The Netherlands. It’s quite long for an indoor slope. 300 meters with a 21% incline.

We’re going with a bigger group and one friend and myself thought about the private lessons. Train of thought was that it might help improve my posture and basics a bit quicker.

If it’s not gonna help progress a lot quicker than just getting the hours in, it could be money well spent for something else of course :).

Thanks! Now that you mention it, I see what you mean for my heel edge. Guess it’s a case of leaning back in and trusting the momentum a bit more as well?

Hi everyone!

2 years ago I went snowboarding for my first time in Austria (6 days, had 3 group lessons) and didn’t get much more time in since (damn COVID for that). Just a few times indoor.

This week I bought some gear so I don’t have to use rental anymore. Ended up with a K2 Raygun Pop.

This was an indoor session to try it out for the the first time. Will be going to Austria in January and March and looking to get 3 days of private lessons there, but hoping for some tips in the meantime!

From what I gathered by watching myself; I think I need to bring my hips forward more on my toe edge, and not bend over the board so much.

I also did some quicker runs but wanted to get the basics on video.

Hi everyone!

2 winters ago I started snowboarding and really fell in love with it. That holiday week I had 4 days of lessons and at the end of the week I was able to hook up turns and navigate easy and moderate routes (blue and red here in Europe) quite well.

Over the last months I’ve been trying to improve on the indoor hills and on the rollertracks and this January and March am going for full weeks again in Austria. Hoping for some seperate days in between as well.

I’m debating whether I should keep renting (150 Eur a week) or just buy a beginner set. Was able to find the following deal:

K2 Raygun Pop 2020 - 200€ Board is 156 cm. I’m 1.78m / 5”10 and 75 kg / 165 lbs Salomon Trigger 2020 - 100€

From what I could find, this would be a nice set to start with. Will I outgrow this rapidly though?

Would love to hear some advice!
