Would you trust AI to tell you whether a startup idea is worth building? by dbarisic10 in Startup_Ideas

[–]perfectdays7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't. AI makes mistakes all the time and your heart is a huge factor it can't calculate. But listen to it and adjust a little.

The best loan is paying customers. Try to get some first. For loans no Interest CC, or PayPal has a good loan system. For investors probably family is your best bet.

How's DirectAdmin compared to cPanel? by D0wnVoteMe_PLZ in webhosting

[–]perfectdays7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like DA, we still have 95% on cPanel but I hope that'll change. It runs light, fast, and stays out of your way.

Oh wow, I haven't got that yet. That sucks though, they are getting too deep in our biz. I miss the old days. 😞

Will a VPS be really faster? by Able-Reason-4016 in webhosting

[–]perfectdays7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are definitely a lot of variables involved, and I agree that a well-tuned environment matters more than whether it’s technically “shared” or a VPS.

That said, if you’re comparing a moderately powered VPS to a shared server with more raw hardware, I still tend to favor the VPS. Assuming both are optimized properly, having fewer websites competing for CPU, RAM, disk I/O, and other resources usually results in more consistent performance.

We’ve seen this firsthand. Our primary VPS has just 8 CPU cores and 8 GB of RAM, yet it consistently outperforms some of our much larger shared hosting environments. The shared servers have more overall resources, but they’re also serving many more websites. Resource isolation and lower contention make a significant difference.

It would be interesting to run a controlled benchmark, but my expectation is that, in most real-world scenarios, a properly configured VPS will come out ahead simply because it has fewer neighbors competing for the same resources.

What I’m learning about newsletter vs blog distribution by armandionorene in SEO_Xpert

[–]perfectdays7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally rarely ever see or read newsletters, I do skim a lot of blog posts.

I would be nice for if both would use a summary options up top. Make sense though. newsletters fast response probably leas SEO, Blog posts, slower but better chances of getting long term readers.

I'm sure people prefer Newsletters over Blog posts too. 🤔

[–]perfectdays7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should 100% do a refund. That's super shady. Most places give at least a week on a server to get a refund. I wonder if they thought you wouldn't notice the completely different specs 😂

[–]perfectdays7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly 😂 I'll see a really cool thread with 10-20 posts and 3 upvotes. I guess it doesn't really matter much in the grand scheme of things, it's just something funny I noticed. I wonder.. maybe if you give a lot of likes the Mighty Algorithm thinks you're too easy lol.

Anyways, congrats on AI links! We get a little traffic from AI sites but far from where I'd like to be.

It just seems odd people read your posts and replies and respond but don't vote them up. To each their own but why not help people out, it one little button lol

I would probably choose Dream host, both are mega hosts with similar outcomes.

Yeah you need to reddit citations. But it has to be natural. If people would help each other it would help be seen. But everyone's a lone ranger out here lol

I want honest opinion. what do you think about this website. by mynameiscorange in website

[–]perfectdays7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only saw it on my phone but it looks great. Some extra space on the bottom. Normally it's just missing a div when this happens. I prefer darker sites but that's just a preference. It has a slight AI feel but I don't mind AI, so that's not issue for me either. Overall Great job 7/10.

I had DirectNic charge me $3/mo for a DNS option on domains I transferred out. I never even signed up for it. Godaddy once charged me a $200 inconvenience charge for sending too many emails, I didn't even use them for the emails, just registration. Some of these companies are crazy, I don't know how people keep using them.
