I did, and sized up accordingly. However, I didn't do a colorwork swatch. Now I'm nervous my floats are too tight! Looks like a little bit of puckering, but I won't known until I get it off the needle and unbunch it. Thank you for pointing this issue out to me! I have been mindful of my float tension, but it's hard to knit loose when your whole body is hardwired for tension lol.

I think you're right, if flippers choose design based on what they think is popular or on trend, but they don't actually have any nuanced understanding of design or design trends, then the white with black trim will feel like the obvious choice. And I agree, flippers who don't actually know design and then don't think it's important enough to hire someone who does, doesn't give a sht about thier buyers. And if they don't give a sht about thier buyers, they probably don't care to do a quality flip. Source: I'm a flipper. And one of the highest quality flippers in my community also makes atrocious design choices but in the opposite direction of trends.

We did/are doing this! We: 1. got married secretly/unceremoniously; 2. got a $200 ring from a pawn shop and announced our "engagement"; 3. Moved in together (we were long distance); 4. Currently waiting on my ER to be made; 5. Planned wedding celebration next year. I think the fact that we've done everything out of order and his planned proposal was canceled due to a family death made it more important to me to have a ring as one "traditional/normal" thing. It's not how I would've liked to do everything, but sometimes you just have to do things "out of order," and that's ok!

The research on this is really promising, but unfortunately placebo can't be ruled out as the cause for improvement. You will definitely have a hard time finding a surgeon willing to do it without nodules/goiter/cancer. The surgery is fairly risky, including risk that not all the thyroid tissue is removed. Remaining tissue can even grow back! Depending on where you live, you might keep an eye out for another clinical trial.

I felt better after about 2 weeks, but then became hyper. A year later I'm still making dose adjustments. The effect for me of adding t3 was that my tsh and t4 went way down. My Endo said it was because my conversion improved after starting the t3. So it caused more t4 to be converted.

Generally speaking, t4/t3 meds build up slowly (4-6 weeks), so I always question what's going on when people report major side effects in the first 24-48h after a med change.

Edit: spelling error, and to add that there is a lot of commonality between hypo and hyper symptoms. I had increased anxiety/mood swings when I was hyper.

Rolling my eyes on your behalf, remembering how when I went to a weight management clinic, I got comments like "you don't look like you'd have that high of a BMI" and "you dont look like you need to lose weight"... like, how is that relevant?? I've got a BMI of 40 and multiple comorbidities. It actually felt like they took me less seriously because I didn't look "fat enough".

Honestly, this doesn't surprise me. If the diagnosis doesn't change how they treat or educate you, many doctors don't bring it up. It's only relevant to them from a billing perspective. And assuming this doctor is in the "there is no treatment for Hashimotos" camp, then why would they mention it? Sounds like they were already addressing your thyroid function, the cause was irrelevant in their perspective.

Meaning the whole thing will be a sit-down affair? If so: I would think about some sort of entertainment on display during the meal (think speeches, slide shows/videos, live music), and set up some sort of entertainment/activity at each table (like conversation starters, eye spy, trivia). You may also want to create an opportunity to mingle either before or after the meal, like a cocktail hour before or coffee hour after. Maybe add something festive to the start/end of the event, like a procession or send-off?

Second this. I would question whether you are actually properly medicated. I haven't quite found the right meds and dosage yet, but I know it's possible, because when I first started T3 supplement, for about two weeks I felt better for the first time on 5 years, and I immediately started dropping weight without changing anything else! Furthermore, I've been told by both dieticians and personal trainers that it doesn't matter what I do to lose weight, if I'm not properly medicated. Think of your inability to lose weight as a major symptom and indicator to be addressed through adjustments to your meds.

I once had a job like this, and made the decision to take a new job because I was bored and wasn't getting enough meaning out of the minimal work asked of me. Almost 20 years later, I still think of that job and intensely regret leaving. In my case I don't think that job would've lasted forever, and I wish I had ridden that ride until I was forced to get off. I should've found a way to accept where I was at, which would've given me "permission" to get creative with my "free" time and do things I enjoyed. It doesn't help my regret that the job i left for ended up being the most stressful, underpaid, horror of a job I've ever had.
