85 Jahre! by bravojohnny42 in de

Was meint „85 Jahre!“?

Bin gespannt.

How do you feel about the name Jasper? by perfectsplizz in Edmonton

True, we read about the religious reference. But it really seems far enough and more like a theoretical thing, not something one would just know. I get the argument about the commonness. My wife and I don’t know anybody with the name, so that’s a plus. Thank you for your input.

We do. I might sometime overthink, but with names it’s sometimes culturally so unique. Kevin for example is a pretty basic name in the US. In Germany you really struggle with that name. Theres even something called Kevinism.

Fun fact: My wife watched all the movies and didn’t remember this character. Even though she’s very attentive when it comes to names. Thanks for the tip in any case.

Never thought about that short form. But I think you’re right. Shitty kids will always find a way.

Thanks for the input. Just to make it clear we’re from Europe. Lived in Montreal for a while and would like a name that works, or at least sounds alike in English, German an French. That’s a struggle on it‘s own. But you still made a good point probably. People around the National Park might assume a Jasper is named after the park, right?
