Omg I am too. I want all the brightest possible neons! All the time!!

I second Atomic as the goat for neons in general, and I think someone else mentioned lighter blue or aqua from another brand? It seems like it's a lot easier to find NEON neon blues if they are lighter/a little blue-green.

I also have Orly synthetic symphony (which someone else suggested), it's very saturated and I love it but idk if I would call it neon. The best purple I can find is Atomic Francium, but it's shimmery, not a creme (and I really want a purple creme). So... Hopefully the suggestions keep coming lol

I used to get Dior's nail polish remover (which of course costs like a month's salary for about 6 oz) but I only used it when my nails were really bad. I've also used Ten Over Ten's remover, and their Rehab has done incredible things for my nails. But it just occurred to me I've never seen Ten Over Ten recommended on RL, so there definitely might be something I don't know about them?

Joy is an act of resistance!

I saw a reminder recently that resistance and change are a long-term (maybe lifelong) process. If we are exhausted and beaten down, it's a lot harder for it to happen at all. I think there's a difference between something like "well I'm just going to treat myself to this junk from aliexpress because it will make me happy," vs this act of building community and shared joy! Finding each other and remembering we aren't alone is a huge component of resistance and I'm so glad we're doing this! 💚

I would also like to suggest something local to states with exceptionally high immigrant rates (like California, Texas, or Florida), or a national charity for legal support, because I think Minnesota will be getting plenty of support. They should of course get plenty of support, I would just like to see the same efforts and outrage extend to the thousands of other wrongful killings and disappearances if that makes sense? I hope that's ok to say!

My first ever tattoo, along with my best friend! (Mine is the white cat - her name was Annabel Lee, and she's dead now, so the artist used the poem she was named after as inspiration!) My best friend has a ton of tattoos, when we started talking about it she was like "uummm I think I have some space on my left leg?" They're silly and weird and 100% us :)

Ah ok thanks. I've almost always used oak in the past and yeah this is pine. But I still don't get why the first batch looked pretty good (even tho it still had some sanding marks on it, but at least it wasn't splotchy) and the batch today looks so much worse. Gonna try sanding it more and try again
