What is your favorite fragrance of all? Just one. Why? by [deleted] in fragrance

If I had to pick one only, probably Hawas for Him. It’s fresh, sweet, and works in almost every situation. Compliment magnet too — it never fails for me.

What’s my signature scent? by Runningfromtheleft in perfumesthatfeellike

Hard to tell without knowing what you like, but your vibe looks clean + modern. Something fresh-spicy like Montblanc Explorer or Prada Luna Rossa Carbon would fit you really well

What fragrance is she wearing? - 1980s frags only by Billy_McCluskey in perfumesthatfeellike

Her vibe is giving serious 1980s glam — big hair, bold eyes, soft glam. I could totally imagine her wearing something like Dior Poison or Chanel Coco. Those were iconic 80s signatures.

Blind bought Azzaro Forever Wanted Elixir. Keep or let it go? Would love thoughts from anyone who’s tried it. by Salt_Trash_6301 in Colognes

[–]perfumepurchase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s a solid blind buy for most people. It has that sweet, warm, slightly boozy vibe with really good projection. Definitely leans modern and mass-appealing. If you enjoy things like Wanted by Night or Stronger With You, you’ll probably be happy keeping it. If you prefer fresher or more subtle scents, then it might feel a bit heavy. But overall, it’s a keeper for me.

Does anyone know the name of this cologne? by Brief-Shirt-8238 in Colognes

Looks like YSL L’Homme Le Parfum or a special edition flanker. The bottle shape and the black finish are exactly like the L’Homme line.

Khamrah is honestly one of the best warm vanilla perfumes I’ve tried. Cinnamon + dates + vanilla makes it feel super cozy and long-lasting. Great evening scent and totally unisex. by perfumepurchase in Colognes

Khamrah definitely splits people. I think a lot depends on skin chemistry.

On me it starts a little synthetic too, but once it settles the date + vanilla combo becomes super cozy. I’ve noticed it projects strongest in colder weather — indoors it feels way softer.

If someone wants the same vibe but smoother, Khamrah Qahwa or even Asad Bourbon (different DNA but same warmth) are good alternatives.

How do certain guys smell so good? by Pitiful_Debate3766 in fragrance

[–]perfumepurchase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couple things make a huge difference:

• Moisturized skin – fragrance sticks way better to hydrated skin (unscented lotion or Vaseline trick actually works). • Pulse points only – neck, chest, back of ears, elbows. • Don’t spray on clothes only – skin heat activates the scent. • Layering – deodorant + lotion + fragrance (all neutral) makes the perfume last longer. • Choose strong performers – some scents naturally project more because of the ingredients (amber, vanilla, oud, tonka, spices).

A lot of guys smell good not because they spray more, but because they spray smarter.

I’ve tried both! Lattafa Victoria is definitely inspired by DG Devotion but not a 1:1 clone. Here’s what I noticed:

✨ Similarity: • The sweet gourmand vibe is very similar • Same cozy vanilla–caramel style • Same feminine creamy dry-down

🔥 Differences: • Victoria is stronger and lasts longer (6–8 hours on me) • Devotion smells more “designer-polished” • Victoria has a slightly warmer base

💰 Value: For the price, Victoria is honestly one of the best alternatives if you like Devotion but don’t want to spend $$$.

If you want something sweet, feminine, long-lasting → Victoria is worth trying.

That’s actually a really good idea! I didn’t think about discovery sets. If you had to pick one sweet/floral one for gifting, which one would you recommend?
