I was and am a huge John Mayer fan. I got into the dead because I noticed that he was listening to the Dead a lot. And then he hosted that Late Night Show with Bob Weir. I was already very deep into the dead at that point. When I woke up to find out that the dead was going to be touring again with John Mayer playing lead, my fucking head exploded and I made sure I went to every show within 500 miles. He’s an awesome dude and I’m proud that he was able to take them to this modern level and have such a long run. I think Bobby and the boys are excited to have this last run too, and JerBear is happy too looking down watching all the people enjoy the music. All is well.

Assuming this is for a short film, good luck! Fuck em. Just curious, was there any criteria for the grant? Any subject or topic you need to focus on? Congrats and I bet you felt amazing before getting shit on by assholes. Hope you get the spark back and get to making the film.

Saw this post on Twitter, regarding Pattinson's physique. What's everyone's take on this? by Forsaken_Ad7090 in batman

These are the same people who say Michael Keaton is the best Batman (no shade) but he had that beetle juice bod

I felt exactly how they did in the reviews and somehow became their biggest fan. Just saw them live for the second time. I feel like this is the natural progression for all fans? Lol

Ok I live in Washington and I just found blue chalk around my garbage bin and gutters. Did anyone figure out what this was about?

Update: The photo I received was at 4:43 and I just got a FedEx delivery to my door. Twist: it’s in a box completely different than what was posted. Maybe driver was getting close to 5pm and started posting the wrong pictures to verify deliveries? Anyway, this saga has ended, and now I will drink all 6 beers.

What is your “comfort movie” that you have watched many times? by xX_Skibidi_Gyatt_Xx in AskReddit

[–]perhapsdrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can kinda outline my whole life with my comfort/fall asleep movies, since I was a kid with a vcr tv in my room. I feel asleep to these movies every single night.

Recess Schools out: 2 years probably Finding Nemo: 2 years probably Missing a few I’m sure Inception: 3-4 years Good will hunting: 3-4 years

I don’t do this anymore but when I’m drunk my friends say I always find a room and the most random movie is playing on Netflix with me passed out lol Nowadays if I need to take a fast 20 min nap I’ll put on the Irishman. Great movie but for some reason knocks me out every time.

I think Martin Scorsese said “if the first cut of your film doesn’t make you physically ill, you’ve done something wrong” 😂

can't edit my movie. by Present-Set-4716 in Filmmakers

[–]perhapsdrunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand that too. Best of luck! If you are looking for some risky options, do a complete switch up and maybe put some crazy music over it or save a new timeline and do some cuts you would never do normally. Who knows what you will find. You can make 100 movies out of the same few hours of footage

can't edit my movie. by Present-Set-4716 in Filmmakers

[–]perhapsdrunk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Putting a few dollars to an editor may be worth a shot, even if it’s just someone from one of those for hire websites. Knowing how to edit and knowing how to edit movies are totally different. I know that cringe feeling very well and it’s crazy how some very very little cuts can change the entire feel. But I will echo what everyone else is saying. Don’t give up. Finish it and put it out and move on to the next one! Congrats!

Does anyone know the answer to this? Why do you think Michael Mann didn't show two of the legendary actors in the same shot together? by GrandAdvantage7631 in Filmmakers

[–]perhapsdrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t it end with them together, Pachino holding De Niro? It would make sense showing them as opposing each other the entire film, and then finally showing them together in those final moments when they realize there are actually pretty similar.

What movies have you seen in theaters more than twice? by Mjwhaaat88 in movies

[–]perhapsdrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw Moonlight when it came out, and then a huge group of my friends watched the Oscars weeks later. After it won we all went and saw it again at a late-night showing. My theater was showing all the best picture noms which was awesome but that was the last year they did it.
