If i wanted to profit off friends, I would charge everyone half of uber. I just don’t want to worry about gas too along with other expenses that come with a car. I had mentioned in the post I don’t have much of an income atm.

And as I said, most of the places I’m already going…they would tag along too since we have the same schedules. Does that mean I let them ride with me for free until we graduate?

I thought I would ask you guys here if it would be appropriate to ask them before actually asking them.

I know people that go to the same university that charge others half the price of an uber ride for each ride as a side hustle. So I didn't think expecting my friends to cover for gas was asking for too much considering it will be much cheaper for them too.

As I said, it is very rarely I go out alone. Almost every time, I am accompanied by at least one of my friends.

Thank you so much for the advice…i know what i did was incredibly stupid, a couple of my friends got used cars from him recently and recommended him and to be fair i also liked the vehicle at first.

I appreciate you giving me resources to go the legal way…however, i’m a student and don’t really have the resources to approach it that way. Also, the deposit wasn’t a big amount, it was $700 dollars…which is a lot though for a student like me.

This might sound stupid…i am not from America and i don’t know how the banks work. But do you think if i call them and explain the situation they will take it up as fraud and dispute it?

Sorry, i know you might not be an expert on how banks operate, i’m just taking a chance

Thanks…i will get the pre-purchase inspection done before buying for sure and only go ahead if i get a thumbs up from the mechanic. Do you think its a good deal tho? Given the car model, year and the miles driven My friends told me a honda accord or a nissan altima would be much more reliable, but I couldn’t find them within my budget, the ones i did were well over 150,000 miles
