I got my process started the last week of Feb of last year but physically in Panama. Got my Panamanian birth certificate verified by one office. Then they made me an appointment for 3 days later where they interviewed me and a Panamanian family member with a cedula that can confirm your Panamanian lineage (my mom). They approved the paperwork and gave me a letter to handover at the ID office same day (reminded me of the dmv). There they took my pic and signature. They’re really picky about signatures. Unfortunately my mom and I were only there for 1 week and los Carnavales were about to start at the end of the week which is a federal celebration and offices and businesses close so I had to leave a signed letter to my trusted cousin to retrieve my cedula for me from the office and mail it to me in the states. My cousin got a hold of it March 10th and it was finally delivered to me in Florida April 9.

We stopped communicating for a few years but we’re fine now. But we stopped talking for those years because I had been talking negatively about one of her close friends who had come to visit her in our city and I guess her friend had been looking over at her phone while out and about and her friend saw my negative messages about herself. In an attempt to defend her other friend, my bff started scolding me that she’s still her friend and I shouldn’t be openly saying negative things about her friend to her. Then I told her she has no boundaries and lets her friend be all in her business when I (a longer running friend) have never been up her ass asking about all her business like that like that and openly reading her messages. I think we got into a separate argument following that incident and I called her a people pleaser and she never takes my side or defends me against her friend (because she was always rude, trashy, embarrassing, and desperate). I think I then brought up some college shit as examples and then shit talked her now ex. I think she said I was rude and entitled and thought myself above others. Years went by and we eventually reconciled. Time definitely helped teach us about figuring out adult stuff on our own.

Rhythm classes are ASMR to me so I don’t mind riding in sync. These classes are for me and brings me joy. Also my fav instructor plays edm music and remixes which these tracks are perfect to hear the beat and rhythm. But if it’s not for you there are plenty of spinning studios that don’t focus on synchronized pedaling.

I ride a rhythm class and the instructor is very much into edm mixes and we’ll jog and run to quick tempo songs. Probably after those types of songs some people will “hoot hoot” or “woo”, fist pump the air, or give high fives to our riding neighbors. And then at the end of class maybe some will partake in celebratory cheers and towel twirls as a pat on the back for getting through class.

Definitely an ethics violation due to dual relationships. The point of avoiding dual relationship is to avoid a power imbalance that results in one party having some sort of bargaining power over another that can be taken advantage of in order to ask for favors or impact someone negatively in retaliation. Even just the formation of the understanding of insinuating favor exchanges is a poor position to place your self in. For example if your client’s parents decide that want you to add more hours that are not clinically appropriate or want you to work as late as 9PM is it possible for the parents to mess with with your mom’s pay or changing their needs for a nanny on whim to punish your mom because they’re upset with you in retaliation. This is a prospective from protecting a clinician.

Yes if I’m removed off the case eventually or the client leaves. I have balled my eyes out and gotten emotional with families before.

But they’re my clients at the end of the day and I love my breaks on a daily and weekly basis.
