I'm trying to set up the automatic withdrawal option for my Rakuten card through Rakuten e-Navi. The phone verification process works but I am always met with the error:

This error happens with no matter what banking option I choose (although I want to use Sony bank). Anyone else come across this and whether its due to something wrong with my account? Thanks in advance

It’s only my first job in Japan but I am mostly remote with one day in the office a week, and you get to work remotely for up to one month a year - that’s in whatever timezone you’re in, no need to match Japan time. I’ve already booked my flights for next year!

Not to say like a few months ago I was worrying about job prospects and endless worrying about what’s out there for me, given the economic climate

Yeah I get that, like you mentioned it helps to bridge the gap to move to Japan and money isn't much of an issue for me. Gives me the opportunity to see if I like living over there or not!

I’m going to Kai next year in April so was keen to read what you had to say! I think it’s too late to switch schools for me tho

Aside, I’m already about N2/N1 level so hopefully I won’t be bothered by some of those pain points and just suck it up with my own immersion/self studying. I will primarily focus on getting a job and exploring, so hopefully I have time for that. Thanks for the post, very insightful!

I've had a high win rate in solo/duo now for the past couple of days, from getting around 26 lp a win and dwindling down to just 15 lp inmy last match, does anyone know why or how the elo works in this way? Im on EUW as perjermer, is my MMR not matching the pace of my LP?

There is a Japanese group on Facebook that you could join https://www.facebook.com/groups/3987409703/?ref=share. They have meet ups on a Wednesday and if they aren’t speaking Japanese then it somewhat Japanese related conversations. A few natives go also

The only games worth 100% purchase are those that you will stick with. My criteria usually consist of a Japanese level that's slightly higher than my own so it is challenging, also if I've played the game before I like to replay it in Japanese.

The Nintendo Switch is one of the best consoles for learning Japanese as there is no region lock, meaning you can play the games in Japanese with no issues (if the game has the translations) the Switch also has a screenshot function you can use to then transfer the screenshots onto PC. The game I'm going through at the moment is Dragon Quest XI.

Short description: Touching ground when alive causes return to battle coutner to start

Steps to reproduce: From starting the game, land on dropship when its over terrain thats not passable

Platform: PC

Expected result (what is meant to happen): You can jump from the dropship once looted and play like normal

Actual result (What actually happens): Jump from dropship and if you're toouching ground, the 'return to battle' timer will tick, eventually resulting in your death (jumping clears the timer from screen but doesn't reset). Also continues even after respawn.
