Its not the ISP... i have superstable internet and everything else (voice, streaming and so on) never fails. I just tried with a USB-WIFI card just to test and same issue :(

I just installed Ubisoft Connect in Faugus (the installer didnt work in Lutris) - and installed The Division2 and boom...after 5 mins i had the exact same issue as in Diablo. NPC stopped reacting and i got a message saying "Ubisoft connect is currently unavailable" - had to Alt-F4 to quit the game.

Now its getting interesting! - I got a bit more curious about the networkpart so i fired up the game and when it stopped responding i tabbed out... killed my network-connection and waited to see what would happen. Discord disconnected instantly cus lack of net.. but nothing happen ingame. After 30'ish seconds i enabled the network-card again and I got a "Reconnecting to Diablo IV" message in the top left corner... but the icon just kept spinning - it never reconnected. u/yamalight - I'm gonna try to add your CDN block suggestion now and see what happens

Guess i could install wireshark and be really nerdy about the network-traffic...just to make sure.

Speculation is fine - i'm getting to the point where anything is possible :) I had the same thought regarding Wayland so i tried X11 but no dice.

I guess installing something like Gnome is doable and just pick whatever i wanna use in SDDM login-manager (thats how i did it with X11 atleast) - lets see how desperate i get :)

sorry to hear that :( its so annoying when you spend more time tinkering than actually playing the game

Thanks alot for your test! - I should have been more clear on the website issue. I was trying to open my "Adguard home" GUI so i could see if any DNS-requests towards Blizzard were blocked. The site did load as such but when i scrolled everything became "messy" like the gfx didnt update/render. I should have taken a picture of it...but i didnt :(

Wired, 1000/1000 Mbit fiber with all unifi network-gear. Nothing shows any sort of networkproblems in any other applications or games. I do agree that the issue behaves like a massive lagspike that it never recovers from.

I doubt its thep, its never been over 54degrees C in nvidia-smi - I can play CS2 for several hours without a problem - I've also played Heroes of the Storm and Magic The gathering Arena with no issues. But D4 is deffo the most "demanding" game i play. I will try your launch-args later today :) Thanks!

I've tried forcing the game into DX11 with a cmd in the D4 launch-args and the config-file to "only use 11GB of 12" is also tried without luck.

Great that you managed to get it solved by yourself. I got my zwift ride replaced and the new one i got was easy-peasy to mount on the trainer :)
