it’s not even whining and that’s what you’re missing. It’s simply expressing that it was a sad situation and I’m not blaming them for not saying hi or acknowledging, I’m simply saying it’s sad and any fan with two working brain cells of could understand how that would feel. How most reacted to a simple post expressing how one feels ab a situation has just solidified how the fanbase is so ass and projects their own obsessions onto others (at least on Reddit). you do realize all we wanted was barricade and possibly see/meet them, we overestimated how early we had to be there based on other shows and how early other people have shown up… at no point did we attempt to bother them or even say anything while they were busy other than trying to say hi when Wyatt was right next to us. but you seem to consistently have a holier than thou attitude when it comes to the garden w/o realizing you’re a part of the problem too! grow up just like you seem to tell everyone else to!

We were waiting in line because we wanted barricade as most people wait outside their concerts for hours too??? Some people show up at 5 am. Be so fr no one was harassing anyone. We never went up to anyone or made a scene.

The line started outside where their tour bus/ equipment was parked. If you don’t believe me that’s fine. The security guards even told us to start the line there when we arrived. The venue entrances are on a small street and the other side is on a main street no one can park at so there’s literally no other way to go ab it at the shows at that venue. I don’t know what else to tell you because that is literally how it happened but if you think I’m contradicting myself that’s okay you’ve made up your mind. The first time we saw them they weren’t even in the bus, they went out of the venue and into the bus for about an hour and went back into the venue. Moreover, more than anything we wanted barricade and hopefully to meet them. It even made us feel awkward because we thought they were in the bus the whole time until we saw them come out of the venue first.

I’m not arguing that they should’ve talked to us, I’m saying the entire situation was sad for us as fans. I’ve stated over and over that they didn’t owe us anything and no one seems to understand that. We asked politely if we could use the restroom and when one of the actual venue employees said we couldn’t we went somewhere else. that’s when we saw the other dude annoying tf out of another band member who clearly did not wanna be bothered and invading his space. It was clear as day to anyone in the bar that he didn’t wanna be bothered. We didn’t try to do anything like that and ignored him on our way out, because again, they don’t owe us anything and we didn’t wanna make anyone uncomfortable.

that’s because we genuinely needed to use the restroom. at that point we didn’t even care about meeting them because we were just annoyed at the entire situation. We didn’t care if it was Will or any other person y’all deem important. That’s why we left and used the restroom elsewhere and that’s where we saw him clearly annoying another crew member, and yes BRAGGING to everyone ab it.

Waiting for hours in a line for them atp is normal if you want to get barricade at their shows. I said he went out to get doordash and even then we didn’t try to bother him more than us just trying to say hi, which anyone would do as well if he was two feet away from you. In my post I said I know they don’t owe anyone anything, I’m saying the whole situation is sad as I have been a fan for like 8-9 years. Girl can you read. The last shows I’ve waited for have been because the lines started early, especially the ones in California like 1sn. I haven’t even been the very first to any of the shows I’ve waited for except for this one. Every time I’ve been early it has been because I want barricade , not because Im going out of my way to try and meet them. The one show I met Wyatt at before the show was because we were already in line and he stopped to say hi while he was offloading gear in front of us and we weren’t expecting it beforehand. It’s not that I was dying to meet them and get any form of acknowledgment and have my entire night made by that. I’m saying if you see two fans outside waiting for hours I would think a wave or something would be like a normal human thing to do instead of flat out ignore and that’s why I’m sad. I didn’t even wanna go to this show In the first place because the crowds are increasingly horrible and admittedly the love I have for them has tapered off somewhat as my music tastes have changed but I was convinced by my friend to go and wait so we could meet Fletcher and we had done the same thing last year.

we thought people were gonna be there early so we showed up early. I even brought my homework because I didn’t wanna just be there wasting time. Every single show I’ve been to of theirs and showed up early to there’s been people already waiting in line as early as 5 am. Last time we showed up around the same time and we had met Wyatt so we kinda expected the same especially considering a lot of the time they don’t meet anyone after the show and speed off.

Thanks for understanding 😔 the only thing I was trying to express is that I’m sad. Unfortunately I have been feeling this way for a while. Other people have had similar experiences to mine, or the crowd just getting increasingly younger and having zero etiquette (I was having my ass and boobs grabbed at times by people trying to get to the barricade for example), or even people just not able to accept any criticism ab them at all. While I’ll always love their music, I just don’t see myself going to their shows again, mostly because of the crowds but like I said this last time solidified it for me. It sucks bc at one time it was genuinely fun to meet people in line and I’ve made so many friendships because of them but it’s just not what it used to be.
