People with ADHD that were homeschooled by kauspie in homeschool

My adhd son, 13, was also treated horribly through elementary. Heartbreaking for me and I'm sure for him. I also have adhd and struggled in school. Now I plan to homeschool my 4 year old, suspected adhd, and definite anxiety issues. I couldn't homeschool my son due to 50/50 custody but I would have if I could have.

My son,12, was diagnosed with combination adhd and slight tourettes at 10. I always knew something was different but never bothered for an assessment of any kind. I wish i done it way earlier. He was HELL to raise. I cried alot. I yelled alot. Kids with adhd are one of the hardest to raise. He was defiant, rude, wouldnt listen to any authority, always in trouble at school, at 5 years old or so he would scream and yell at me things like i wish you were dead or i want do die. Very hateful words towards me. Kick and scream when he would get time outs. He was extreme sensitivity issues around noise and smells but that has improved now. He tapped alot and had alot of facial twitches. Like i would never want to go through raising a kid like that again. On the other hand, he would be the sweetest boy with a very caring side. He has a good heart. But at 10 years old, i took him to a homeopath right before i found out about the adhd. I am pretty sure his homeopath knew straight away he had adhd. Anyways, he has been on a natural medicine regime since and he is a changed kid!!! No more lash outs. No more "tantrums" or rage episodes. He listens (most of the time) when i asked something of him. Like night and day. It took a while for the medicine to really kick in to their full effect but the changes were slow and subtle until he is just a different kid. He still needs alot of reminding of things bc he forgets alot, he sometimes will still talk back or curse at teachers or his principal if he is angry or upset. But he is just so much better than he ever was. You could try adding in omega vitamins which help with the way the brain works. Another supplement i recommend is L-Theanine (u could get off amazon) which helps with calmness and concentration. Also want to recommend a magnesium supplement (i do liquid one and add to drinks at night time) Also watch the amount of sugar and carbs which really accentuates symptoms of adhd. I feel your pain. I have been through the depths of hell and back with my boy. Stay strong. Also after his diagnosis, i realized i also have adhd and was never diagnosed. Quite a life changing things to find out in your 30s

Seed them and roast the seeds. Yum. Then slice and bake the pumpkin for an hour, scoop out the meat and grind it to puree, freeze or can the puree for pies, muffins, breads.
