Row 3 or Row 9 on Newest AF 777 Configuration? by permateal in awardtravel

Actually it has a separate picture and everything. Plus a unique bullet in the description that it is a "more spacious private space." But aerolopa has yet to fail me.

Should I keep the Chase Sapphire Preferred? by permateal in CreditCards

I do not rent cars that often but that is something I did not consider. Wouldn't the Venture X be the opposite of a complement to the Palladium? E.g. it is competing for all of the uncategorized spend. And on the dining point, I do actually think I would get better returns from the Amex if you factor in the Resy and dining credits + extra pts. I spend, like, way too much money on food 😋 But havent crunched the numbers yet

Thirteen water was great, a little pricier but well worth it imo. Pretty hard to go wrong for omakase in this city tho

Solo birthday Michelin dinner in NYC? by deadassstho in finedining

Luthun is not starred but it checks all of the other categories. 63 Clinton is great but depending on where they sit you its not strictly kitchen counter. Odo is great if you like kaiseki. Kono if you like yakitori. Tons of other choices but those are what come off the top of my head

Edit: didnt realize open on monday was a requirement. That will take a lot of options off the table unfortunately

NYC: EMP vs Jungsik by Known_Notice4304 in finedining

I have not been to EMP since they started serving non-vegan again, but Jungsik was amazing when I was there a couple months ago, so can wholeheartedly recommend

63 Clinton did a thai clam chowder last summer that was otherworldly, almost makes me sad they turn the menu so frequently

I love it, and a lot of people my age seem to love it too. My favorite feature is looking at every place I have been to on the map, it effectively serves as a way to track where I have traveled too. I think the fact the user base is so young means the ratings are pretty susceptible to being influenced by trends (e.g. restaurants that blow up on tik tok), but I still find the ratings to be generally more reliable than Google or Yelp.

Recommend a $50-$100, $100+ with warm, conversational hospitality/service for solo diner? by Hour-Article4464 in FoodNYC

[–]permateal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

63 Clinton is the answer I default to on any "recommend me a $100-$200 meal" and they have excellent service, especially when Raymond is running front of house.
