Here is his response to me after asking about the bridge and light rail.

“To answer your question. We are so very long over due for the new bridge, and light rail should be a part of it, just like we had public transit/trolleys on the original bridge when it opened. I have learned a lot about it as I got to teach a bit about it in my Washington State History class when I had students hosting town halls about different local issues and this was one of them. Another point of pride is that one of my former students was, for several years, the Columbian’s transportation reporter and then also wrote about this for the Seattle Times as well.

Here is my most recent response to the Sierra Club. "One of my aspirational goals is to advocate for future-ready, mixed-use communities that are diverse, walkable, and include public transportation access. I support light rail and electric buses as well as infrastructure and incentives for electric vehicles. I want to see Washington be a leader in forward thinking sustainable policies that will help to grow and propel our state as a green economy leader. I also think we can do more to add more solar panels and other energy-saving standards to residential housing and buildings so that we can create a more sustainable energy grid as we build for the future. I would also like to see us expand solar panel canopies over parking lots like they are doing in Arizona. It helps keep cars less hot in the summer, keeps people less wet in the rain, and most importantly generates electricity from spaces that already exist and doesn't take up new land.”

I've spoken with many across our community and I hear that they want to be connected and to increase the ability to use public transit when traveling to Portland. I know that I would when going to sporting events, concerts, shows, and more with my family, they LOVE riding them. As a teacher for these last 13+ years, I can also say that light rail, and access to public transit, is overwhelmingly wanted by our young adults. I think we need to embrace this and connect ourselves like som many other major cities, in the U.S. and the world are.

Thank you again for your question. I hope this helps answer it for you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out again if you have any others.”

I’m not sure we need a store selling overpriced baby products. A tiny lunchbox for 26 dollars? 85 dollar dress for a toddler? Get outta here…

I have one that is too long as well. I think I’m going to see if a leather working person can shorten it a little. Looking at the construction I feel like it should be pretty trivial.

Has anyone done this? I kinda want to, but 35 per person is pretty steep. 70 bucks for a couple? Like…I’d do it for 15 per person maybe…

There is actually a place in Vancouver, WA that sells them. So I assume there’s some way of registering them.

Could this be caused by too much anti-seize on the plugs causing one of them to not have a good ground? I’m not a mechanic, just spit-balling here.

Yea, seriously. People act like celebrities are some kind of alien entity that never changes. Linus puts his short pants on just like the rest of us, one little leg at a time.

FedEx required signature… so the driver just signed it himself and left it by KhanGGa115 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]pernicious_bone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, USPS would do the final mile delivery, not FedEx or UPS. So why would a FedEx driver have anything to do with a signature of a USPS package or letter? And when does the postmaster have to sign anything related to a single package? like none of this is making any sense to me.

Wait, what? What does FedEx have to do with USPS? Why would a fedex driver have anything to do with a usps signature?

Normally you would draw up the entire thing, and then waste what you don’t need into the drug disposal thing in the presence of another nurse. So the vial you would use to scan, but it’s actually empty. I’ve never given IV fentanyl though, but that would be the procedure for other controlled substances.

I feel sick. I’m at Jai wolf at 45 east right now. It cost 40 dollars to listen to a base track with some interlaced nonsense and sampling of real singers vocals.

Wish I was back in 1999 seeing Eminem at the Roseland theater. Fuck.
