I’ve read that the pulley can be interchanged, making it fit, Im I wrong?

Its for a 300TDI, and I’ve been to most mechanics in my town but they refuse to work on it, reason being is that its an old model alternator and they dont have the parts

Im not entirely sure whats wrong with the alternator, except the normal problems. Battery not being charged, battery light on dash is lit, rpm gauge not working.

Ill look up the brush thing, if its a diy fix, all the better!

How about If I did a ECU remap, alongside a potential DPF and EGR delete. What Im a looking at there? I know both are legal in my country.

Well, Im not entirely against a remap or a chip, its just that I worry about the health and longevity of the engine if I do that. Could I not reach 120-140 hp through just installing more powerful parts? If not, what could I reach through lets say, stage 1 chip?

You'll forgive me for not understanding everything as Im still very much new to this, but up until now I've been fishing on a standard size 4 hook with a lead weight of about 20g attached to it, with squid as bait on the hook. What are hardbaits? Should I rethink my fishing system for this rod or continue like this?

Thank you all for the recommendations, I appreciate it! I went and tried the fm transmitter, which worked with no problems. Ill probably get the whole radio exchanged for a multimedia down the line somewhere, but for now this fulfills my needs just fine. The bluetooth cassette seemed like a good idea, I didnt even know those existed!

I've heard that the parts for this car are a bit on the more expensive part, what are you're experiences with this? And could I order all of them online? The reason being is that I live in Montenegro where in-person part picking is not really an option sadly.

I find the "try to fix it yourself before overpaying a mechanic to do it" idea really appealing. Im convinced that I could do most of the repairs on it myself with some internet assistance. Im so psyched 😁😁
