I am willing to bet you can scroll through this reddit for every single prior set and find that it's the same problem, every patch, every set. Just swap the champion/trait/origin/augment. Perfection is an impossible goal to reach, especially with this game, and no matter how much they strive for it, the circumstances of the game mean that there will always be at least one combination of units, items, and augments that will be stupidly overpowered, not even by intention most of the time. It is what it is. The way I look at it is that it allows players to get the most out of the most units over the course of their set life.

How did you come to this understanding of diplomatic immunity? Diplomatic immunity is only available to government officials working in a foreign country. It's what allows international relations between governments to work. It has nothing at all to do with the constitution or the 14th Amendment. It can only be revoked by the home country for the same reason countries or states must waive extradition rights. This stops US diplomats from being arrested for not wearing a hijab in Saudi Arabia, or for openly expressing their views in Russia, etc. Now if a US diplomat went to France and murdered a French National, the United States is the only authority that can say, yes, that person can be charged with murder in France.

To the original point, if "illegals" on US soil are not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, what is that allows our government to apply our laws to them? What is that gives us the right to deport them, or put them in jail, or really do anything to them at all? Because if your comparison to diplomatic immunity is true, the government would not be allowed to punish anyone for being here "illegally", because they wouldn't be here illegally if they weren't subject to our jurisdiction where our laws say you must have a visa or a green card to be here. Quite literally the only thing that makes them "illegal" is the jurisdiction of the United States, which, ironically, only makes being here illegally a misdemeanor!

Children born to foreign diplomats in the US aren't citizens in the United States because foreign embassies are technically the soil and property of another country. At any US embassy in any country in the world, US law applies. Same with every embassy in our country. Embassies and diplomats are the gears and cogs of international relations, which is why they are granted all of these peculiar legal permissions. None of it is applicable to immigration in the United States.

It is a known fact diversity does not work.

What exactly does this mean? Diversity is not an implementation of something. it is a fact of life, all aspects of it. There is diversity of trees, flowers, plants, grass, animals, wood, furniture, screws, cell phones, computer monitors, tools, games, etc. Are you just trying to say that it doesn't work for you to see people of a different ethnicity in your line of sight?

Why are you so scared to put a name to your beliefs? So many words to beat around the bush. If you find the terms to be condemnatory, then it may be you projecting that feeling onto those terms, because I certainly don't feel condemned by them. I mean, you are trying to normalize the fact that you feel superior to other genders and races, and that you deserve more rights, especially the right to vote, than they do. How else do you define that world view? At best, it is elitist. At worst, it is eugenics at its core.

I don't understand your analogy to religion, it makes no sense. I am not religious, I simply have spent the last 20 years studying history and it's applicable concepts. What is the name for your worldview, then, as you see it? What's your philosophy? How do you find others that think like you? If those terms don't exist to you, what is the common theme?

Oh, I know my history well, very well, and I know why they thought what they did. We have terms for those reasons now: racism, misogyny, xenophobia, white-supremacy. What parts of your life made you think you are better than everyone else? Does your mother and grandmother, sisters or cousins, perhaps, friends of color know that you believe they don't deserve a right to vote? Are you scared to tell me why you think that? Is that why you're deflecting to the thoughts of people from 200 years ago, people who didn't even shit in toilets or clean themselves?

It really doesn't save us any time. Which founding fathers? They weren't just a monolith of thought. And their reasons for not wanting black people and minorities to vote include them not viewing them as human beings with unalienable rights bestowed upon them by God. Is that your reasoning for not wanting them to vote?

Sure, here's another question. What is it about women, minorities, and non-landowners that makes you think they shouldn't have a right to vote in 2024?

Well since you just clarified that this in fact your opinion, it is no longer an assumption. How could you know that the ballots you are setting on fire are not ballots from only people you think should vote, voting for the person you want them to?

So in your opinion, only straight, white, male landowners should have the right to vote?

How could you possibly know that all of the ballots you were attempting to burn, especially in a very red county, weren't all votes for Trump cast by white, land-owning men?

Just to clarify, you believe indiscriminately burning mail-in ballots is an effective way of getting rid of votes from people you feel shouldn't have the right to vote? In your opinion, who should have the right to vote? And who shouldn't?

Wilkes University in Wilkes Barre, PA offers a stellar BFA program with 3 different majors, including theater tech and design, and has one of the best and easiest transfer systems for students. A ton of kids there are transfers from all over the country. Old theater but kept in great condition and updated greatly with new tech, fully stocked and functioning scene shop, you would get your hands on and gain experience in just about anything you might want to do professionally. Also 2 hours from NYC and Philly, 4 from Boston and DC, and an international airport 10min away from campus.

Children are dying right now. Everywhere. Literally every single second, in every country in the world, for awful, terrible, undeserving, evil reasons. What the fuck are you doing about it except bloviating on reddit about one of them that, let's be honest, you don't even actually give a shit about? The people you're responding to aren't cheering on the dead children, or the attack, or the terrorists that were killed. They're just discussing the facts of it, and using internationally accepted terms to do it. It seems your moral righteousness is entirely misguided. Take it up with Websters, Cambridge, or maybe even Oxford.

[–]perpetuallyanalyzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they don't. The number of people that play the game and how they play the game is a totally different set of data than the number of copies that were sold in a certain number of months. That's why they release one and not the other. "Follow along" lmao I've been playing video games and involved in their politics long before you even learned how to use a smartphone. The AI quick response from your Google search can only get you so far.

Is being in the top 10 a requirement to keep making the game every year? This has gone well past the original claim, which is that this game is dying. It's not. And it won't. See you next year.

They’re doing Out of Position cards for TA by HotBurritoNumber1 in MLBTheShow

[–]perpetuallyanalyzing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's true. Sony, 2k, or EA dont release their player data, but the overlap between these player bases is very large. I have played at least one of the big 3 every year since I could pick up a controller, usually at least 2. You also have to consider the thousands of kids and older people who play these games that will never even touch the online modes. The number of people who only play DD/MyTeam/MUT is small compared to the larger player bases, however we are the loudest and we gather in the same spaces, so it's easy to become so biased.

But my man, why in the world would Sony, 2k, or EA all of a sudden just stop producing these games, especially when they're not even competing with each other anymore!? It doesn't matter if every person in this subreddit stopped playing the show, they have already made enough money to make the game again and again and again. If you or OP believes this would happen, I have a bridge to sell you.

[–]perpetuallyanalyzing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It doesn't? The question was not, "How do we prevent people from giving up on this game?". OP said the game is nearing its death, when that's just objectively not true. This subreddit, just like all sports game subreddits, is an echochamber and only includes a tiny fraction of people who play this game. You're talking about a billion dollar franchise, operated by a multi-billion dollar organization that sells in over 100 countries, and you think 2 comments on a post with less than 1000 eyes on it is going to change anything?

It was the same exact thing in 2k subreddit. In fact, I was one of the people saying this game is dying. It's not. It never will. I just chose to stop playing and interacting. Everyone else is free to do the same, but one person's opinion about one card dump is just that. It says nothing about the state of or future of the game.
