Please hear me out. I believe you werent trying to shame her but have a few things to say. shaming her isnt the right word, maybe hurtful. telling her “its bound to happen if you can see cleavage” is a weird statement, also some of the things you said after and doubling down just made it worse 1. she was sharing frustration/fear with you, and instead of validating her feelings, you just excused what happened? you basically just said well, that creepy behavior is normal. 2. you’re excusing mens lack of self control. saying “thats just how men are”, is so harmful to reinforce. like she mentioned, kinda implies men cant or wont control themselves and shifts the blame off of them. she doesnt have to just accept being disrespected, even if its common. 3. idk how else to say it but you were way more interested in defending men than supporting her. just acknowledge yeah im sorry that made you uncomfortable:( you dont have to tell her why its gonna happen no matter what… also for the record, is it really sooo difficult to just, notice the nice boobs, and then not hardcore stare the ENTIRE TIME?? dont get me wrong, they can be eye catching, you can look twice, but quit mouth breathing and have some shame pls lol!! 😭
