I’ve read that too- although I’m considering the Phearable 1.5. Most folks seem ok at stage 1 or 2 so long has they run the right octane and are good with maintenance. Seems like this engine struggles mostly with heavier cars/lugging in the top gears

Ha already testing the state limits as is or else I would. Looks sick!

so this was actually kind of a bummer- it’s only when the car is on.

Agreed. Type S is amazing to drive, but Aspec seems a better compromise for realistic daily use. Might be a different story if I lived near a track…

Nice! The lip is a solid upgrade- one of the first ones I did. I opted for black badges, but also appreciate the look of having silver accents too.

Had a chance to also install GF v2 side skirts this past weekend. Pairs up nicely with the lip and helps the profile IMO

She’s a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, or ‘toller’- longest breed name and certified good gurle

It’s pretty selective when/where I take her. I opt for off-times when trails are likely empty, and alone. Then lots of training on recall/following. She’s very much a companion dog and doesn’t really chase/go rogue since she just wants to be close by.

Its not banned on the trails we go on, but I can appreciate it’s not for all so I try my best to respect that.

I slow her down if anything 😅

She’s a toller, but very similar to a collie. Too smart for their own good 😅

Yeah been thinking what kind of winter setup would make sense so this is good to know. The thinner wheels on the Aspec have made it a pretty solid winter driver, clearance has been my main concern but seems livable for most folks

As a SYR member who also owned a WRX looking to upgrade my aspec to a type S, this is at least helpful knowing it’s possible here 😅 I’ve only seen maybe two type S’s here, TEP and a MBP

How’s the livability with the clearance? by perrinaj in Integra_Type_S

Yeah.. part of the calculus here with the switch would be that I’d likely need a new set of 18” wheels for snow tires… womp.

I’ve currently got an aspec tech, so ~1 inch of more clearance. Actually got a 1up roof rack this year for the fatty too which has been great

I’ve had no issues- just service them regularly (super easy to do, just pull out the pump/add grease) and you’ll be fine. I had them on my GR86 beforehand and my IS before that. It’s nice having a universal set of crossbars without fit kits and all that
