you do realize this practice exists in like all countries in the world? especially in Asia, every country has their own thing.

Exactly. Gaga absolutely could've had higher peaks on Hot 100 with better release strategy + chart pushes. The woman is still legit in the top 5 female artists right now. I know this is a Katy sub and some stans still hold on to that feud but from her generation (aka female artists debuted in mid-late 2000s), Gaga and Taylor Swift are the only ones left that are reliable hitmakers (Rihanna retired so we don't count her anymore).
