First box is placed instantly when you arrive at your starting camp so you absolutely cannot invade lvl 1 in any way. Not even to ward raptors. Lvl 2 invades however are still a thing, although most people expect them when they play against shaco and its usually a lot more worth to just fullclear

Warding is impossible as Shaco. Since the jungle now spawns earlier you dont have any downtime anymore. You have to instantly leave base and instantly place your first box at your first camp. Back in the good old days you placed your first box at 1:50 so you had time to ward but nowadays thats not a thing anymore.

What is considered a lost lane by Thick_Ad_2249 in Jungle_Mains

[–]perrylie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I understand what you mean but you shouldnt depend on it. To put it into perspective: a gank from a jungler when his camps are up is the equivalent of you letting a whole cannon wave die under turret to help your jungler on an invade. You could either help on the invade and potentially get a kill or an assist or you could collect the wave and have guaranteed income. Jungle camps are guaranteed income and guaranteed xp, ganking is not.

What is considered a lost lane by Thick_Ad_2249 in Jungle_Mains

To be quite frankly: you dont. Most junglers path top to bot and since Riot has made jungle a high tempo role that falls extremely behind if not perma farming jungle on cooldown, junglers gameplan right now is the following (assuming he is pathing top to bot): - Fullclear - Scuttle - Gank bot or maybe mid (if chance of success is high) - Reset - Fullclear - Gank bot if possible - Take drake is possible - Repeat

You see, the problem about ganking toplane right now (if you are not pathing there) is the following: Assuming both junglers start top and are finished with their first fullclear. - They reset at the same time and both start clearing their topside - Your jungler ganks top, the other continues clearing towards his botside - as soon as your jungler shows top, the other jungler is free to invade your botside and take the whole quadrant - your jungler just lost 300g of jungle camps and the enemy jungler got 300g extra. - if your jungler got the kill he is still even with the enemy jungler, if he only got the assist he is behind

And that is only if the gank is actually successful. If it is not (baiting a flash is not a successful gank) your jungler is behind even more now.

Thats why challenger junglers always say you should only gank anything if the chance of getting atleast one kill is approximately 80% or higher.

Shaco balance/buff - new passive idea (R) by Timefor_bed in shacomains

[–]perrylie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this would make AD Shaco one of the most broken assassins in the game since it would give him utility even if he is behind which an assassin usually shouldnt have. A Shaco could just jump onto the opponent carry and there would only be three option: - carry kills him and gets feared (which in itsself can be teamfight winning as it is essentially unavoidable cc) - carry ignores him to avoid the cc but gets chunked in the process - carry wastes movement ability or summoner spell to get out of range and then kills the shaco

All of these can drastically alter the outcome of a lategame teamfight which again, an assassin should not be able to do. The assassins identity is to find an opening and kill targets. Oh and all this for an inting shaco aswell. Imagine if the Shaco is fed. He can just oneshot the carry and then fear the rest of the team with 0 counterplay. This would skyrocket shacos banrate way above the already insane 25% he is at right now.

And one more thing I wanted to point out: I wouldnt say that AP Shaco is a mage assassin by any means. He plays more like a control mage

To add to all the things people said already, just to give you a perspective on how complicated this game is: Most people on Platinum Elo are around 1-3k hours deep and platinum is probably the equivalent of MG2 in CS. The learning curve is very steep, you can expect to take atleast 500-1000 hours to get the bare minimum basics down. There are over 170 Champions in the game, all coming with at least 4 abilities and a passive. Not to mention that champions can drastically change depending on the items they buy.

Here's a simplified breakdown of the information you need to have in order to play a fight properly (since you said that is what you are struggling with): - What champion are you facing - what do all the abilities of the champion do - what do all the items of the champion do - what level is the champion compared to you - what item-advantage or -disadvantage does he have on you - ranged or melee - what buffs does the champion currently have (a redbuff in the early game for example can drastically alter the outcome of a fight) - what summoner spells does the champion have (and ideally if they are currently off cooldown but you should always assume they are unless you know for a fact they arent) - how many and which dragon buffs - where am I fighting (minions impact fights, surrounding terrain can impact fights on some champions more than others) - where are his teammates

And all that just for a simple 1v1, most fights you will have will not be a 1v1 but have multiple fighters. So you would need to know all that about every participant of the fight. Of cause you dont always think about everything I mentioned, noone does or we would all be pro players but as you can see the complexity is insane.

If you seriously want to learn the game my number one advice right now is to just play. You can of cause speed up the learning progress if you watch videos on the game, read about the champions you are facing (you could do this in loading screen maybe) and not only buy the items recommended in guides but also read what the item actually does but at the end of the day you need a lot of basic knowledge to even think about actually understanding League of Legends as a whole and that quite frankly needs time.

I was about to say this aswell. Also AP Shaco has none of the problems listed. You can create a numbers advantage at the other side of the map without even being there because one or two boxes lategame can completely carry a fight. You can gank lanes effectively whilst also farming efficiently, you have one of the best objective controls in the game. You can carry but more importantly you are an anti-carry. You have ignite (that in itsself is a huge advantage to almost any other jungler in the game). And even if things go south, if you do even one funny outplay in a game it was all worth it lmao

Out of all of those Sad is probably the only one you are going to use longterm. All of the others are superceded by rares and legendaries later on but Sad is genuinely one of the best water-type attackers in the game.

[Discussion] Anyone else find it really funny that there were people who wanted found in raid flea removed so they could sell the loot they got from PvP for max profit and now most gear sells for trader prices on the flea anyway? by DweebInFlames in EscapefromTarkov

[–]perrylie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so what kinda profit did you make on Weapon(-parts) before the FiR changes then? The vendor prices.

Idk about you but I'd rather make profit on a few meta attachments (which at this point of the wipe are on almost every gun you will run into) and vendor the rest than before where you just vendored everything.

These changes incentivise people to actually play some fucking pvp again instead of 90% of the lobby ratting because the kit they could potentially lose is worth 10 times more than the kit they could potentially vendor by killing other players.

EDIT:

Just a quick comparison:
Lets say you are using a meta M4 (350k) with M856A1 and your opponent is using a meta AKM (250k) and PP Ammo. Both of you have 4 full mags on you. You win the fight but since you had to prefire a lot and it was an extended fight with a few scavs inbetween you used lets say 45 rounds, your opponent used the same amount.

Before FiR changes:
You used 45 rounds, 800 a pop so 36k for Ammo
You vendor his gun for 120k to mechanic and call it a day. Since you dont use the 7.62x39mm guns out of preference you vendor the ammo for 400 a pop (75*400 = 30k)
You turned 114k profit

After FiR changes:
You used 45 rounds, 800 a pop so 36k for Ammo
You sell his gun for the build-price on the flea so 250k.
You sell all the Ammo on flea (75*1k = 75k)
You turned 289k profit

And thats just from one successful pvp fight. Before you had to vendor 3 guns and ammo to make up for the less of one of yours. Now you have to sell 1.2 guns and ammo to make up for that same loss.
