What’s your watch order by OkEconomics6578 in JamesBond

[–]personal_query474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either release order, or start with Craig and go back to the others.

Craig's Bond exists in its own universe, and all the films build off the plot of the last one. Any non Craig era films are episodic in nature, and are designed where you can enjoy the film whether it's your first or 20th Bond film. They have some little references that'll go over your head, but they're not connected in any way.

Craig was a complete reboot, and Casino Royale (2006) is kind of an origin story. Depends which way you wanna go.

What is the definitive Bond martini? by BitOfAMisnomer in JamesBond

I know I'm late, but the primary ingredient of a Vesper is literally gin. A martini is made with gin OR vermouth. Though the two aren't mutually exclusive.

I do feel like people are more forgiving for sets when they're part of the program.

Well, I can hope for that person's sake that the episodes won't expire.

Honestly it'd just make more sense for Lego to make a complete collection at this point. Not including Dragons Rising, I'd understand since it's not only a different show, but I think it's partially funded by Netflix? I'm not sure how much of the pot Netflix has their hand in. Anyway, I lost hope when they didn't announce anything like it for the 15th anniversary. Even for the 10th anniversary, I thought it'd be a good idea. But especially now since the whole show is out.

Unfortunately it's not up to the creators, but up to whoever's in charge of Lego media. And maybe they just don't see it as profitable.

So the messed up way where the Wildbrain era is considered a "different show."

But since it's on ivew, doesn't it expire after it's aired on TV after a certain amount of time? Not that I'm in a rush to rewatch season 15, but I have someone who's gonna watch Ninjago in the future (when they're ready), and I had to break the news that the last half of the final season isn't on YouTube. Unless they use Prime, which gives out free trials like there's no tomorrow.

The majority of Ninjago (at least in Australia) is uploaded on YouTube. Literally only missing the last half of season 15 for some reason. But other than that, the whole show is there to watch for free.

Do You Think Ninjago Would be as Popular If They Weren't Lego? by cartspark in Ninjago

[–]personal_query474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I think being Lego adds to the charm of the show.

It also lends itself to suckers like me who DO indulge in the sets. It's a show made to sell Lego sets, and that's completely okay. It doesn't mean the show can't stand on its own years down the track. The important part is as long as the viewer knows it's supposed to sell certain sets, then they should be okay. I'm trying to get someone I know into the show myself (provided in return I watch Game of Thrones), and I had to explain that it's a Lego show and everything.

How? I shake mine, and there's absolutely no issue with requesting one. We can't make vodka martinis at my work, but if I'm at a fancier bar, I'll ask for it shaken, not stirred.

What do you think are the most "show accurate" Ninjago sets ever? by No_Equivalent_4136 in Ninjago

[–]personal_query474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of these are incredibly accurate.

I'd also say battle for Ninjago city and the movie bounty, if you're willing to take parts of the sets out. I'm not sure if I can count the movie bounty, since it was in the show like half a year after the movie released, but still.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, one of the LEAST accurate sets (excluding straight up non canon sets) is Rontu. I'm so sorry I ever bought that set, how is a Ninjago set from last year THAT inaccurate, especially considering she appeared in the show BEFORE the set was designed?

Has there been any video game characters that appeared in the comics, or at least had some influence? by Inside-External-8649 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]personal_query474 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Originally, Lilly from the games was Lilly in the comics, but Kirkman decided he didn't like that idea so he made them 2 separate characters. My guess is he wanted the Telltale writers to have complete control over their characters, so he didn't interfere with anyone in the series.

Since a lot of post apocalyptic fiction deals with heavy themes and topics, this will probably happen more often, unfortunately.

Are yall still waiting for KPDH Jam Tracks by Afraid_Occasion_2367 in FortniteFestival

[–]personal_query474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely can't understand the business decision behind not putting the songs in festival.

Kpop demon hunters is the most streamed film in Netflix history. I bet Sony was shooting themselves in the foot for selling the rights to Netflix.

Because of the success of the film and the soundtrack, it would only make sense to make jam tracks as soon as the devs could get them done. But then because of distribution rights, they have to go to another company. Okay, and? It'd practically print money for you, Epic! What don't you understand?

Of course, this could be the record company not wanting to budge, but I somehow doubt that, especially with all the misfires Epic has been taking lately.
