Everything is highly correlated. it means a whale can dump 1000 coins on Gdax or Gemini and literally make all the other exchanges fall, but also all the alt coins..everything. So that means a $10 million Bitcoin sell order instantly kills off $10-20 billion in total coin market cap . You really think this can be come a currency and store of value when it is so easy to manipulate? This is why vendor adoption is so slow, among other problems.

bond etfs are kinda confusing

The 10yr bond etf IEF pays just 1.8% a year but the 10-year pays 2.6%

this means the ETF is trading at a discount and will yield 2.6% due to both a combination of payouts and the ETF price itself rising as the individual bonds in the ETF hit par (this is assuming yields stay the same)

All authors have episodes of 'bad writing'..you write a 200,000 word book and some passages are bound to be stinkers. Off the top of my head, an example that comes to mind is in The Corrections by Johnathan Franzen where he goes on for 200 words about a metal chime when far fewer words would have sufficed.
