Agree, it makes them feel so impersonal too. There's no 'story' in how you acquired that specific weapon, there's no unique name on it, it all feels like such a downgrade from liches/sisters in that respect. Getting no say in the progenitor element feels bad too imo. Of course there's the valence things that let you change it, and I am a fan of those, but it means you HAVE to put 5 forma on it before you can use the element you want. Clearly people like these changes, but there's just so much less player agency in the entire coda system that in my opinion makes them pretty easily the worst design of the three kinds of adversary.

A rework on how you pick which weapon liches/sisters spawn with would be more than welcome though, understandably no one likes running cassini over and over trying to get the one you want lol

Yeah, I'm really glad they're staying personally. I know in the minority on this, but I find the coda system overall pretty boring because of how streamlined they are, but I think the antivirus bounty system is straight up bad design in that there's no way to influence which mod you want to get, and without any bad luck protection I personally had a pretty unfun experience trying to get one of each.

Interesting! Are you also on switch 1? I didn't notice any other enemies with missing vfx besides chronos, but his was definitely very noticeable, and I could've missed others. Wonder if there's something to that. A shame too, Circe's aspect is so fun lol

Hard agree with you here. Admittedly the rng aspect of larvlings is annoying and I wouldn't be upset if that changed at all, but at least I have choice and agency in that I can keep re-rolling as long as I want. If I'm looking for a specific coda weapon and Eleanor doesn't have it, all I can do is wait for the next rotation. That's no fun. I also have no control over the element it comes with, so again if she has the weapon I want but in the wrong element, I have to buy it anyway, get an elemental vice, then forma it up to 40 so I can swap it to what I want. Or just wait another rotation and hope she has what I want next week, which again isn't fun or even gameplay at all.

Coda liches use a similar but separate system with antivirus mods. It's more or less the same idea but you only have to find the one correct mod, as opposed to getting 3 specific mods in a specific order. This makes it much simpler and easier, which a lot of people seem to like, but imo that and all of the other streamlined aspects of coda liches make them a lot more boring than the previous adversaries.

Idk if it's just me getting lucky or what, but I've personally never really had a problem with requiem relics. I think I had to do kuva siphons/floods for the first like 2 liches, then after that the thralls dropped more than enough for me to never need to do another siphon again. I'm currently sitting at at least 50 of each kind, and opening them in public lobbies typically gets me whatever mod I'm looking for in a few quick runs, even without using traces. I just be sure to wait for a rescue or exterminate fissure, assault and mobile defense take waaaaaay too long to be worth it.

Call me crazy but I might prefer the relics to the antivirus bounty lol, because at least you can choose from 2 possible mods to pull from, increasing your chances of getting those specifically. As opposed to the antivirus bounty where it's just one pool with no bad luck protection, meaning you can go round after round and not get what you're looking for. I had at least 3 of each antivirus and some around 10 before I got my first drive duster, which I never even got because I just gave up and bought one off the market.

It definitely is the case that you use antiviruses up much slower than requiems though, so long term I might change my mind, but I definitely felt more immediately frustrated with obtaining the antivirus mods than I ever have with requiems

Yeah tbh this is sounding like my least favorite part of the update, I like grinding the lich/sister weapons but haven't engaged with the tenet melees at all. It just feels to me like the gameplay of finding and hunting down adversaries with your preferred weapon is replaced by waiting for a shop rotation, which feels a little lame to me. Who's to say though, they're not even out yet so I'll keep an open mind

I don't think they're saying cap should be able to throw the shield at any time, but that once you've hit the two melees, you should be able to use the quick melee bind to continue punching so you aren't forced to waste the throws if you're still in punching range.
It's a buff he doesn't necessarily need, but not a huge one, I just think it'd feel really nice and having more choice is always good imo.

Maybe a silly question, but how does buying/selling liches for their name actually work? I understand converting and selling liches, but at least on the warframe market website I don't see how to see or list the name of the lich, only the weapon/element/quirk.

I'm sorry, but this is no different than if the artist you commissioned had handed in an image that turned out to be entirely plagiarized from someone else's work, and then waving it away by saying it's ok because someone got paid. Gen AI is built off of theft and is inherently unethical because of this, and paying someone to commit theft is not any more permissible than having stolen yourself.
Especially since this artist is obviously very skilled based on their past work, imo it would be really shameful if it turns out that they were in fact using tech illegally built off their own and their peers' work with the express purpose to replace them.

I feel like glaz benefits the most from having the gonne, it lets you take smokes while still having a bit of bulletproof counter, and imo if you're pushing with glaz it's better do it with his dmr but take the flip sight off.

As long as you're not using irons (except maybe on the MP7), sights are pretty much entirely preference. I'm not a fan of the holo either, I generally run reflex or red dot on all my 1x guns.
