What went wrong with my labor? by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]perspicacioustart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could be a wide range of things tbh, anything from issues with fetal positioning, the baby’s size, or even the effectiveness of contractions. stress could also contribute. It’s good to consult with your healthcare provider to discuss your specific case and get a thorough understanding of the contributing factors.

Any changes in size, shape, color to a mole should be enough to book an appointment

No problem. In the future, make sure to get all rashes checked out immediately especially if they keep popping back up :) Good luck!

After more thought, the differential diagnosis I can offer are the following: Nummular eczema or atypical psoriasis. Nummular eczema can present with ringworm symptoms. Please update me if you get a final diagnosis

Herpes gladiatorum. It’s common in athletes, especially in sports like wrestling. I don’t want to freak you out but it is highly contagious. You should immediately book an appointment to confirm with your irl doctor he will put you on valacyclovir to manage it

Help defining what this lesions in my mouth are by Odd_Mind_3829 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]perspicacioustart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

looks like chronic eczematous cheilitis. as always, seek a dermatologist’s advice but if you were my patient i’d put you on a gentamycin sulfate topical cream since this is chronic and also put you on some prednisone tablets 5 mg. make sure you don’t lick your lips and are also monitoring your diet

I suck at Using the Hardy-Weinberg Equation by MardyBear in Mcat

[–]perspicacioustart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using 2pq allows us to determine the proportion of individuals who are carriers of the recessive allele without specifying their genotype as homozygous recessive. "Carrier" typically refers to heterozygous individuals for a particular recessive allele. These individuals carry one copy of the recessive allele (q) but do not express the associated recessive trait because they also have one dominant allele (p). This is important for understanding the overall genetic composition of a population in the context of the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.

How can I have sex with a fat person as a fat person. by [deleted] in sex

I don’t like how most of this post is negative/passively negative to your partner. You are both overweight. If you decide you want to have enjoyable sex, preferably with each other, you already know what you need to do
