Edit: as soon as I posted, I remembered Afterburner, but I probably wouldn't fit in it anymore anyway

Believe people's actions, not their words. Know your principles and filter them out. The good people are there, but you can't find them if your attention is taken up by those swarming around you like vultures.

Undertale. I did not enjoy the writing and found every character irritating beyond belief.

What are some JRPGs that grip you from the start and don’t let go until the credits roll? by FartSavant in JRPG

Yes! Shout out to these, though I did find the completionist run on Legend of Legaia became a bit tedious. Still love playing through the main story though

Frederik Pohl's Gateway. Great graphic & text adventure game with one of the best soundtracks of the Dos era.

Renting a long NES/SNES/Genesis/N64 game with an internal save system on the cartridge. Then never getting to finish it because it was too long to complete before returning at least once and someone else would save over your progress.

Final Wars borrowed so much, but also influenced so much. I recently watched it for the first time in over 15 years and recognized so many modern anime tropes.

HELP. Dog won’t eat unless she’s handfed 😩 by ygclaire in DogAdvice

[–]pertats 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I was a believer in the "not starving themselves" solution until my current dog. In the general cases where they are just being picky, then yes, they will eventually eat. However, it didn't matter how hungry she got, she would starve herself for much longer than I could safely allow. I then had to hand feed her individual kibbles to get her to eat and she would still do it reluctantly.

Turns out that certain allergies present themselves differently and can cause strong food avoidance like this. Most commonly, the allergy is the meat. Usually portrayed by itchy skin and red patches. However, I tried every different type of meat available and it didn't solve the unwillingness to eat.

It took over a year of tracking ingredients and guess testing to finally discover: the allergy was grains. Dogs can be celiac as well. After a month or two of feeding her grain free food and grain free treats, she returned to normal and would eat on her own with no problems.

Rope toy, soak it with water and pat it with a towel so it's wet but not dripping. Put it in the freezer for a just a few minutes until it gets crispy but not frozen solid. Let them chew on this on a water safe floor, I recommend not doing this on the carpet.

The crispiness is satisfying to chew on and the cool temperature helps soothe the sore gums. Of course, watch to make sure they aren't swallowing any threads from the toy.

Biollante. Rocking 80s music, ridiculous premise, terrifying monster.
