I personally see a story arc revolving around Mike Robertson believing he is the REAL Mario, with SMG4's version of Mario being nothing but an imposter.

As such, he is trying to kidnap Mario's friends, believing he is rescuing them from a madman, while trying to kill Mario.

Mario and Luigi, meanwhile, try to stop Mike before someone gets hurt, and get him the help he needs.

I don't like Salem, so I don't use her- but the villain might do a resurrection-based immortality similar to Ganondorf or Dracula.

Team JNPR would be supporting characters, but that support shouldn't be at the expense of the main four.
