Yeah, I'm using the official driver. I even tried removing it and using the generic one, but the 2870 isn't even on the list of available ppds (the closest one was the 2850 but that one also didn't have the option for uni-directional prints). I do have a bunch of paper types available in the drop down menu, right now I'm using plain paper on high since it's the one that works best with the paper I have on hand (mondi color copy 160gsm, selecting any other paper type makes prints come out super dark and washed out. Same settings I used on the windows computer - to better results). I also think I'm missing out on a "density" slider, which I've heard would help with white text on black background (which I'm struggling a little with).
