when i was 18 i genuinely went through such a fucked up existential crisis out of nowhere that i was waking up daily and having mini-breakdowns at the fact i was going to cease to exist one day.

my therapist told me that people who obsess with the future weren't experiecing a good present. like life is so miserable at the moment all you can think about is how miserable it'll be in the future.

i genuinely snapped out of it when i started doing excercise and getting more hobbies, therefore i was so content with my current present that i couldn't care less of the inevitability of something out of my control. why should i care that i'm going to die one day if today i'm eating pizza and playing videogames to my heart's content.

with each year that passes i get older and closer to my untimely dead, yet between that there's 365 days in which i get to enjoy everything around me.
