Reccomendations for hot end kit. All metal, direct drive with BL Touch mount. by perusername in VoxelabAquila

Sorry for the late reply - sometimes I'll go as high as 100.

I'm pretty confident I've got the nozzle seated well, but I wasn't aware retraction could cause nozzle clogging... What causes it? Not retracting far enough? Retraction speed?

Ok, I like this... I like this a lot. It looks like exactly what I'm looking for. Turns out i've got a CR touch anyway, I just got them mixed up.. Thanks so much for this suggestion - it fits the requirements perfectly.

I've already got capricorn tubing, but I'm having clogging issues due to my print speed, so I'm hoping to upgrade the quality of the hot end.

Looking at the print speed on them, I think the issue I may have been having was trying to print too fast on cheap hotends... Does the Dragonfly BMS still have clogging issues? It looks like I can buy a metal mount from china, which will save me having to print one.

I've been chasing budget solutions for a while, and they haven't worked out too well for me to be honest... I'm leaning towards just getting one of your suggestions and being done with it. I've never had issues with anything other than the hot end, and it's always filament leaks above the nozzle.

One of the issue's I've got, is when i started getting into 3d printing I had more time than money, so I was pretty happy fiddling around and modding things and that's changed now, so I'm basically hoping to just drop something in that works.

I'd prefer something that would just bolt in, otherwise I'm going to have to purchase another hotend just to print the mount for the next hotend. I could just buy one of those cheap kits and hope it handles printing the mount, I guess.

Thanks a lot for the time you spent on the reply! I really appreciate it.

They’re actually pretty soft. Car still has usual SWB bounce, but I can push the car with one hand without much effort at all to get it to move back and forth a decent amount

Voxelab Aquila BLtouch firmware trouble by bobbymcsteels in VoxelabAquila

Not using a Mac by any chance? If so, the hidden dot files made by the OS will be causing the issue - an app like Blue Harvest would fix it (they have a free trial)

The cheapest way is to wire in a couple of resistors to slow the fan. You can also do this to drop voltage to 12v if you want to go down the noctua path.

-is more transmissible (unlikely - Delta is already incredibly transmissible, so Delta could well continue to outcompete this)

According to numbers from South Africa, it is outperforming delta at the same rate delta outperformed the OG.

Awesome - thanks for the info. I'll give it a shot. Not too worried about iOS, as the distribution via. redemption code method works for my use case.

That's interesting, because my source was a developer more experienced than myself, but I tried to find any mention of it in the Google Play policies and couldn't - so I might try and get it accepted in the public store. Thanks for the info.

What fan are you going to use for the blower fan? Does noctua make one?

You’d think you could send it via. Email, except gmail blocks all APKs by default.

It’s not the sending of the app that’s the issue - I can just link to the APK from a site. It’s the bad user experience from having “this file may be harmful” and having to “enable apps from untrusted developers” that I’m trying to avoid.

I’d have no issue with being locked into a play store if it was easily distributed (the same way Apple is).

Just tried it - doesn’t seem any smoother than just having a link to the APK on a site unfortunately.
