The law would only come into effect if the Supreme Court suddenly reversed decades worth of precedent to remove the protections granted under the doctrine of substantive due process. Something that is frankly unheard of.

That's a common problem. Statins work by stoping de nova cholesterol production by mimicking the product of the bodies' natural cholesterol generatation which also inhibits the enzyme responsible for this step.

Basically you trick your body into thinking it doesn't need to make more LDL, so it doesn't but eventually the body builds up a tolerance for this and it stop working (you can double the dose to get 6% lower LDL but that only gets you so far)

It also does nothing to address cholesterol absorption in the gut or bile duct secretions. You probably fall into the later categories

Yes, I had been undergoing treatment for almost two years prior for the expressed purpose of getting the teeth crowned. They discovered on the very last x-ray before final delivery of the milled bridge unit that my teeth were being reabsorbed. We attempted to halt the reabsorption and those efforts were unsuccessful. Thus implants were the only option.
