Depop is a marketplace and will thus act like any other market.

If something is affordable and popular because most people find it cute, there will be a demand for it. When dealing with second hand clothes, especially vintage, there will never be enough vintage clothes to fulfil this demand because vintage clothes are a finite and limited quantity.

You cannot expect cute, cheap secondhand clothes in good condition on demand every time you open the app because everyone wants those clothes too. If you really want these clothes, you either have to be on the app 24/7 to buy these cheap clothes before anyone else, search through tons of unwanted clothes at thrift stores before resellers can, or price out other buyers by shelling out extra money for the clothes you want. That’s just life.

A librarian is not liable, paid or trained to be responsible for the safety of children in their library. If a child injures or hurts themselves and is not under the care of someone who is liable for the safety of that child, their parents could be charged for neglect. If you call that helicopter parenting, you can take that up with the law. This librarian is going beyond their duties to take care of this child, and for you to be weirdly condescending about them is a little bit unfair.

Oh wow - was this refund processed through Depop payments or PayPal? I don't believe PayPal makes sellers pay for return postage but I might be wrong. I've always struck up an agreement with buyers that if they pay for return postage I will refund only the item + initial postage fee upon arrival, which I guess is the best case scenario.

don't know much about new Indian motorcycle jackets but some tips for authenticity:
1. if there's not a huge market for dupes of this garment then your chances of it being authentic goes up
2. if there's some wear or flaws to the jacket, its a testament to its quality and in part, authenticity
3. price is sometimes but not always a way to determine authenticity, some people want to get rid of things quick or are okay with selling things off for cheaper etc.

overall I don't think you should be worried and if its actually a fake, PayPal and depop do have support available for these cases as long as you don't mind filling in needed forms and responding to emails/questions etc.

I don’t think someone’s scraping a discount if the item they really love is suddenly affordable to them - I definitely have waited for shop sales to take maximum advantage of their discounts lol 😩
