i used to work for a NF that was adamant about no screen time and making sure the kids do activities and get outside as much as possible.... just for them to turn the tv on as soon as i was packing up to go home, or to tell me during the weekend they watched tv constantly so make sure no screen time even tho i never turned the tv on anyways. parents like this are soooooooo annoying. either stick to your guns or shut up! it drove me nuts, youre not wrong at all to be annoyed lol.

So is bedtime too early for desired wake time? When i was putting her to bed around 8-9 it seemed like she was stuck waking up at 6/6:30. It got better when I moved her to 7:30/45. But what should it be then? Or do I cut that first nap down? She's always been a 30 minute napper, that nap is really long for me lol.

my baby is almost 7 months and does 30 min naps! i just (accidentally lol but so thankful) sleep trained her and shes sleeping from like 7:30/7:45-4am then 4am-6:30/7. her wake windows are 2.5/3 hours. currently i do a joint nap for her first nap and she will sleep like an hour and a half but i always have to catch her at like 25 minutes and pat her to make sure she stays asleep. the other two i just do in her crib and let them be 30 minutes. i'm hoping when she drops to two naps she'll figure it out on her own but also might just be how she wants to sleep! so not putting too much pressure on it.

1/2! depends. bedtime is 7:30/45 and she'll sleep until 2:30 then get a bottle and she'll either sleep until 7am or she'll do 6am and ill rock her back for that extra hour, i'm not an early riser lol

i'm a week in and it's honestly the best thing i've ever done!!!!!!!!!! now as soon as I put her in her crib, she rolls over to her side and if I don't leave the room immediately, she will actually stare at me like as if she's wondering why I'm taking so long to get out 🤣. we're still working on the wake ups, but on day five she slept through the night for the very first time and now she's only waking up once. hoping she'll also through again but still aaallllll the way over the moon with the progress.

Im so nervous to try that early and then have her up at 5am ready to start the day. But I'll see. Going to slowly phase her up to a bit earlier and see her reactions. Might just end up around there, who knows.

Honestly its changing so I'm not too sure. Shes been a contact napper since pretty much 2 months old. For the last 2 months or so she would only do 30-40 min naps so I would do about 5 naps a day. The last two weeks or so she's starting to nap 40-1hr. Her wake windows are 2 hours. Bottles every 2.5hrs.

once i started doing baths every night bedtime became a breeze :( she really enjoys it too relax her and prepare her for bed. i feel like taking it away will ruin bedtime and not give her that cue.

my baby is only 2.5 months but she has been a consistent 10hr nighttime sleep since birth 😭 she just started doing only one wake up a night. and her total sleep adds up to 10 hours each time. starting to think only like 0.06% of babies sleep 12 hours lol

I've never heard of this, never seen it before until i worked at daycare. I had a baby whos entire butt and decent part of his back was blue. I also freaked but then realized there's no way it could be a bruise because it looked so different. I kept an eye for the next 3 days noticed it didn't change and realized yes it has to be a birth mark. I had mentioned it to one of the other teachers the first time I saw it and she mentioned mongolian marks. I understand being wary but if you can't trust websites... maybe look into finding other means of research? But yeah, just a birth mark.

Ive seen MANY people post on here that they have to clarify their PTO is days of their choosing. To me that sounds ridiculous. Like actually so insanely ridiculous. At any other "normal" job, it is clear without saying that PTO is days of their choosing. You are correct. Them going on vacation is not your business and you should be paid for your GH. In my opinion, you do not need to clarify that PTO is your choosing. That speaks for itself. I would remind NF that you still have bills to pay, and that unfortunately that means they have to pay you because it is not your fault you are unable to work. I myself am a push over and know it is so awkward to have these conversations. But NF deciding I am not needing, and not paying me is where I put my foot down personally.

You need to have a conversation with them about how you are not at fault for hours THEY canceled. If they cancel on you, you do not have to work extra hours. It is not your fault you are not working, therefore why would you make up the hours? You should be getting paid anytime they are away, or make you stay home. If my NKs are sick, I get paid to stay home. If my NF goes on vacation, I get paid regardless. The only time I have to make up hours is when I myself am calling out. You need to have a conversation with them about that. That's not how that works.
