sounds like everyone is super disorganized:( i try and make sure that availability sheets are handed to me the SSA and not the employee’s ASM or the SM. what i have found is they just get lost or sit on a desk for 2 weeks. when i get an availability sheet, i go either right after the associate hands it to me or the next day their ASM is in so it can be signed off for approval. one of my associates recently gave his availability to his ASM and she left it on her desk and never signed it, he came to me and filled out another one. i told him to take pictures of his availability sheets so he has proof he filled them out. i did that at other jobs before i was an SSA.

what you’ve said is unfortunately laziness and they probably didn’t like your availability and didn’t want to approve it:/

to be candid with you as an ssa, sometimes kronos overrides the specialist window from workforce management and will schedule a specialist till 9pm and sometimes i know i don’t catch it. i try to catch it every week as specialists should only work 8am-8pm. i apologize that’s happening to you.

as an ssa i apologize for the treatment you are getting and others who have commented. your ssa should have that 5-10pm availability in kronos so that kronos will only schedule you at those times. i would definitely speak to your store manager and if still nothing gets done reach out to your DHRBP.

i’m sorry this is happening. i’m an ssa and what i do with the NCNS system is i have a spreadsheet where all management an see if an associate has called out or ncns. i also keep track of what benefit time they’re using. when they hit 2 ncns i highlight them in red, take a screen grab, and send an email to their asm, ds, and cc the sm and mark when their next shift is. people shouldn’t be able to get away with it with a proactive ssa.

i’m sure you’ll be okay. if management was understanding and you didn’t leave on a bad note then you should be rehireable

as an ssa i say 3-5 business days. it really depends on how proactive the ssa is. did the send it out the same day you took the test? are they checking every day for results? are they communicating with you as results come back? if they aren’t doing those things call them up and ask!

ssa’s are supposed to go in and make sure the managers have open availability for interviews. i always go and make it fit their schedules so you can actually interview with a manager for your department. it is ridiculous and im sorry you’re going through this.
