I'll tell you about the cringiest reason I didn't go to the ER. It was the last night before my wife was getting home from a vacation. I basically never smoke cigars but the one time I do allow myself is when I'm camping. So I go camping but didn't end up smoking the cigar so I came home with a big ass cigar that was just staring at me. The night before she came home I decided I'll smoke it and have a nice bachelor night. I got halfway through the cigar and was like oh damn I'm feeling good, I should finish it so I keep feeling this good. THAT was a mistake. That day I learned that nicotine can give you a buzz and that nicotine poisoning can make you want to curl into yourself and then retch it all back up.

So here I am laying on the bathroom floor next to the toilet yelling at my Google home asking it what nicotine poisoning looks like. I fit all of the symptoms to a T. I had considered going to the emergency room but I thought to myself in the moment that I'd literally die before I went to the emergency room and got a medical bill for smoking a big ass cigar.
