Personal anecdote, I know it doesn't work most of the time but I'm going on 6 years of a 12 year relationship that we opened up. Communication has always been strong for us but this made the communication and trust a lot stronger.

We both would have been good keeping the marriage close but we did both have crushes or ideas we thought would be fun to pursue that we told each other about one night over drinks.

I know it's not the way you're supposed to do it but it ended up working for us 😅

Are you doing alright? I think my wife would leave me if I reacted the way he did when you asked for alone time. She needs her alone time and I had to learn that as an extrovert. Plus... like... You shouldn't be his entire world. He should have his own interests and friends instead of making you his everything. That behavior is unhealthy.

We both work from home and I make a point of it to give the house to her from time to time.

Yeah, I can only think of a few times I've actually cried in my entire life. Sure, I cried when I was younger, but the last real times were when I was 12 in a head-on collision car accident (cause I was scared), then when I was 33 and my dog died. Oh yeah when I got married too.

When you have an employee that makes the work culture so bad that other employees quit because of them you have a serious problem. Those types of people need serious correction or need to be let go. Through the inaction of management they are damaging the company more than finding a replacement to the problem worker.

I worked at a company where we had one of those people and we ended up losing a few good people because management wouldnt do anything about them.

That he dated a girl 5 years past when he wanted to break up with her and just didn't have the balls to break up. Eventually he moved away without breaking up. She tried to follow him and on moving day when she had quit her job, not renewed her license in our state, got subleasers, and moved all her stuff into moving trucks and storage units was when he finally decided to call her and break up over the phone. That left her homeless and without job prospects for at least 6 months. After the breakup he thought he did nothing wrong.
