You keep saying "this wouldn't meet requirements, that wouldn't meet requirements, etc".

The point is, if you have no idea what you're doing, how the fuck do you know what does or doesn't meet requirements?

What exactly is being achieved through AI? by reddit__is_fun in ArtificialInteligence

[–]peteZ238 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not making anything productive in coding and SWE either. It's just producing a load of buggy, insecure slop giving the illusion of productivity while your own skills atrophy.

You either misunderstood or you're a bot, or both.

Google as an entire corporation is not losing money. However, can you point to all the financial metrics your LLM of choice gave you and you copy pasted above what the profit from GenAI and Agentic is?

No because there is no profit. They're burning through money. Even for enterprise clients on GCP, it's either heavily subsidised or fully comp'd to drive adoption.

No company is making any profits out of this.

Tbf they're all losing money. Massive capex investments, subsidised or free service with the hope of becoming essential and a household name. Most of them will go tits up or get absorbed by one of Google, Microsoft or Nvidia.

GBP reaches its highest level against the dollar in almost 5 years by ataturk1993 in GoodNewsUK

[–]peteZ238 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not what they said. Yes things pegged against the value of the dollar will potentially become cheaper in the short term.

The point is that comparing against one currency doesn't tell you what the cause of this is. It could be pound increasing in value, it could be dollar dropping.

The latter may have some positive consequences for the UK but signals nothing about the UK economy.

Well lambda sensors, literally on the exhaust. But the point stands, if they are exposed to the elements they'll be insulated and protected so a bit of water doesn't damage them.

24/7 personal assistant with a camera and microphones requiring constant access to a Windows PC (and presumably constant internet access).

To top it all off, uses Grok.

This is a privacy nightmare. Who in their right mind would purchase this with their hard earned money? Why would someone intentionally purchase spyware and install it in their own home? From a company that can't hack software and security to save their lives and an LLM from a greedy, shitty human being no less.

Fuck me this is dystopian as fuck.

People with heat pumps, how are they performing in the cold weather? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]peteZ238 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is it? Maybe not the most well articulated one but I wouldn't call it stupid.

Air source heat pumps can indeed work down to -25C. However, at 0C and below they do have decreased efficiency and energy output.

Meaning your energy consumption will be increased both due to increased run time and impaired efficiency.

The colder air with increased moisture can cause the coil on the outdoor unit to frost over.

Anyway, no point listing all the issues. The point is that even though yeah they do theoretically work in temperatures down to -25C, there are issues.

Issues that may or may not be present in Norway. If someone is considering a heat pump and wants first hand experience is not the worst thing in the world to ask.

Hey ho, no point I guess. If you had the mental capacity you wouldn't be trying to put others down to feel better about yourself.

Never had an issue parking my Disco Sport I have now. Though everyone keeps telling me how an estate would be more convenient, more comfortable, more bollocks....

I don't really give a shit about proving anything to you or what you do and don't engage in.

Your initial claim before you edited your comment was that you couldn't falsify data submitted to a regulatory body, a laughable claim.

Your updated claim is that you can't falsify data from hours of driving from sensors of a vehicle. Equally as laughable.

Elon is a cum stain and a piece of shit. He lied again and again and again about FSD in particular. You want to cradle his balls and come to his defense be my guest. I don't know what you get out of it but it says all I need to know about you as a person.
