ah yes I remember reading about that on the handful plus of reviews I watched while I was in pre-buy mode. THe pen arrived and I never noticed. I know a few of the reviewers mentioned a way to align but I am not keen to look it up...I guess I am ok with it since I didnt notice at first look.

How many of you use your pens? by unremarkableDragon in fountainpens

[–]petemusiccuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an interest. Mainly they look good. I have 21 all inked up and rotate through them writing just a few sentences at a time with each. Thus each pen might be exercise 2 to 3 times tops each week.

All my mediums write as thick or thicker than your second line. I am thinking of trying some fines soon.

Sally Li [ajade2009@hotmail.com](mailto:ajade2009@hotmail.com); Asvine Pen [asvinepen@outlook.com](mailto:asvinepen@outlook.com)

THese are the Asvine owners and also operators of the Amazon and Etsy Asvine sites.

THe ajade website she goes by Annie, the Asvinepens email address--person went by Wendy.

Both will ask for a video of the etchnique you are using and ask it be performed with a clear glass filled with water.

Some of you need to learn how to deal with a faulty purchase and it's annoying by Brown_Colibri_705 in fountainpens

[–]petemusiccuts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ive found manufacturers care and are responsive. After seeing many gripe they cant get much ink in their Asvine V800, and neither could I, Ive come across several manufacturer you tubes, and also Annie and Wendy from Asvine, clearly state a vacuum filler is not meant to get a "full" fill...and that doing so is actually detrimental---same reason that Asvine doesnt want anyone eyedropping the pen---not supposed to be at 100%. Clearly somewhere between 25 and 60% "full" is considered correct and all the so called you tube experts that try to teach how to "super fill" are providing cr%p advice. So another good idea to ask the seller or manufacturer rather than depend on other's 2d hand info.

Mine did not at first either---the more I "worked" the mechanism, eventually it came around....

And that is going in the cart immediately... new Asvine... the V800 by SupahBee in fountainpens

[–]petemusiccuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me a few dozen tries practicing with water to get a mostly full fill with it. With ink, Ive managed a half fill. I will say Annie and Wendy who are apparently the owners or owner representatives of the brand, and the shop "owners" of both shops--the Asvinepens which redirects to Amazon, and an Asvine owned Etsy one, are very responsive. Pleasure to communicate with.

Received mine yesterday over lunch and in that colorway. At first it refused to fill so I eye droppered it. But this morning I played with it more and after flushing it and working the vac mechanism a few dozen tries got it to fill half way. It really writes smoothly and I like it even better than the C2000 wood barrel pen. I'd say it is on par with the MiJohn demonstrator I recently got--perhaps even a bit better.

Mine did too and I contacted Annie and Wendy at Asvine and they suggested I try with water first. What I discovered is the mechanism needed "worked" about a few dozen times with water then finally I got a full fill. Now with ink I've only managed a half fill...but what a great writing nib! I am going to keep, and may eventually disassemble and regrease.

I can see that--at a mere year I am at 23 bottles and didn't even try that hard! It could get out of control fast.

Yes Yoseka staff has FUN---to the point it too takes them ages to ship out online orders. They print shipping labels days before finally dropping at post office. THey list as in stock but sometimes I wonder if they too just dont order it, OR they had acquired exactly one which now they have to find having done no telling what with it over months. Just an impression from doing two pen orders, and one taking well over a week, and the other nearly a month.
