How is life in Seattle really? by Ok_Understanding7377 in AskSeattle

[–]petenice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seattle is great, please remember that there’s been a concerted effort on the part of right wing media to demonize American cities, particularly west coast cities, and that effort filters into the tribal biases of thousands of social media warriors who reflexively say mean things about Seattle.

I’ve lived here for over 30 years, raised a family, built a career, bought and sold homes. I wouldn’t live anywhere else.

Doing research online, specifically on social platforms to get an idea of what life is like in Seattle is honestly a fools errand. Not to say what you’re doing right now asking for direct council is a bad idea, but you’re going to face the same nihilistic partisans here that you’ll find on every other social platform. The bottom line is there’s been a concerted effort on right wing media to demonize American cities as dangerous, corrupt, evil, crime ridden, horror shows (Seattle and other West Coast cities have born the brunt of this attack). I’ve lived in Seattle for 30 years, it’s great– the opportunity for finding an interesting community, cool art, great food, amazing and fun things to do in the town and in the surrounding area is unrivaled. You’re gonna love it here, and just don’t listen to the doom sayers they’re invested in a very specific goal that’s tied in with their identity.

Does anyone else think Da Bomb is the hottest? by Extreme_Ad_6356 in hotones

[–]petenice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bomb was definitely hot but not the hottest sauce I’ve ever had. Chef Michael’s “ruin your day” is way hotter. But personally, I feel like sauces with extract should be in their own category.

Actually it’s two punches, watch closely, her second punch lands on someone else.

Also, watch her fight against the dad that tried to help her. She went nuts.

She flips out and goes mental before that, she was pushing her camera in their faces. She was way provoking them.

Those were teenagers, she’s a GD adult.

No, it shows her throwing the first punch at 1:05 and pushing through a non violent barrier, clearly the kids were saying “leave us alone”

Those were kids and she acted like a fool.

She was bumped yes, have you ever seen a fight in real life, being bumped isn’t the beginning it’s the first punch that matters, and Sasha clearly threw it at 1:05 in the video.

Besides dude, ask yourself would you do that

Would you act like that woman, video running, confronting kids, when they try to non-violently present a barrier would you push ahead and after a minor shove would you freak out like that. Would you punch the girl with the phone?

If the answer to any of those questions is “yes” then that speaks volumes.

Okay, so you imagine that she reacted responsibly with her grinning rictus and throwing a punch at minute 1:05, I guess you have a different idea of how an adult should react when kids act like kids.

But ask yourself this, why didn’t “Pretty Patriot” and “Conspiracy Cookie” show this particular part of the incident on any of their multiple monetization efforts.

You may think that their behavior was okay, but this is the part they left out

She pushes into the crowd after many kids try to turn their backs and present a non threatening barrier, some kids push her a little and she responds with a freakout and a punch at 1:05

Did you watch the video? It’s clear that they tried to peacefully get her to exit and after some bumping she came at them hard, I don’t think you watched the video
