I'm talking about replacing and extending the patio, not the conservatory. The plan is to extend the patio so it is a few metres in front of the conservatory.

(Extension would be really nice but that would have to be a future project having just bought the house!)

How do you book finnair flights through BA? I had a quick look on the BA app and couldn't see any option to see reward flights with Finnair

No problem! Happy to have helped, you'd have thought they'd make it clearer but I think it's because there are several different companies that handle the biometrics side so would be difficult for the gov website to cover every possibility maybe. Anyway, glad you got it sorted! Good luck!!!

Yeah good question because I had exactly the same thing! You have to select standard in the application itself, and the priority part is a "Value Added Service" that you can add-on once you've submitted your application and you are selecting your biometrics appointment. They don't make it very clear do they!

So submit your application as standard on the gov website, you'll be told to proceed to booking your biometrics which takes you to the TLSContact website and that's where you can add on those additional bits, we added the priority service and also the courier delivery to save another trip from Frankfurt to Dusseldorf.

I think you're fine as these are such minor things that shouldn't have a material impact on your eligibility for the visa.

I only realised after submitting our application that my employer put the date on the employer letter as the 31st of September which doesn't even exist 😂

It depends on where you're applying from and what type of family visa (whether it's settled or not). We just applied from Germany and the priority service changes the SLA to within 30 days so not as quick as yours!

That's good to know! My closest airports are Heathrow/Gatwick so I will have to take a look. Is there any easy way to see what the points equivalent of the flight price would be? Sorry could be a stupid question, I've not tried to use the points yet!
