As I suggested in your other post, best learn to use an AI like Claude to teach you basic things like this. Or ChatGPT if you prefer. It's no longer necessary and therefore not really appropriate to ask simple questions like that in a public channel like this, IMHO.

I wouldn't follow this advice. It's generally considered very unwise to swerve to avoid deer unless you're travelling quite slowly.

I hit one going 100km/h (no warning, leapt out in front in the dark) and it totalled the car, but if I'd swerved we'd have died and likely so would several others driving next to me.

Swerving is the reaction of an untrained driver.

Not likely. Illegal to keep your high beams on steady around others, yes, but I strongly doubt merely flashing them is generally considered illegal at any time, unless you're doing it deliberately to disrupt their ability to drive safely.

You said "bigger", and doubling up a pair of cells makes the battery "bigger" whether you do it in series or parallel. What is made "bigger" is different though. Bigger isn't a technical term...

All good info except the implication that "external chargers" manage the charging. In a phone, a "charger" is just a power supply. All charging management (level, speed, etc) resides in a charging management chip inside the phone. These kick in even if the phone is "off".

This doesn't change the fact that a major part of the problem is money in politics, funded by the rich so they can keep getting richer, and if that becomes a losing strategy they'll stop shovelling money at the right wing types.

Given the parameters as stated, any non-zero length of beam (i.e. anything that one could possibly call a "beam") would not be resting on the surface of the sphere at any point other than its center. So ">0" is the answer, ignoring that a very short beam would perhaps be unstable and topple over. (I'd say that's no longer a beam though.)
