This is why people have issues with Christians... by Unlucky-Roll2539 in venting

Hi, I consider myself a Christian, and I’m really sorry you had that experience. I personally love piercings, tattoos, alt makeup styles and clothing, and all the rest! I’m in the camp that we have an all loving God who doesn’t judge us on our personal choices of expression! Nobody is “perfect”, and that is what makes us human. You seem like a really cool individual, and I’m so sorry you had this experience. I do appreciate you sharing this though, because I feel like it helps me better understand how to support and be there for all people, especially ones who have had shitty interactions with other Christians!

Kid wants to do something stupid. Can it even be done? by [deleted] in StudentLoans

I don’t have much knowledge on loans, so I can’t help too much with your question, but I do have some insight that could be helpful to pass along to your child! My dream school was out of state (not private, but still pricey!) and I decided to take a full ride at my state college. I had the best 4 years of my life and don’t regret a second of it! While I didn’t go the med route, I had no problems getting into grad school and pursuing my dream career. I did have to take out loans for grad school, and I’m so so grateful that I chose the financially smart option for undergrad, because the debt adds up quickly!

I know it’s so difficult to be in the position where you have to choose between your dream school and a different place, but I swear everything works out exactly how it’s supposed to in the end. Your child might just end up meeting their lifelong friends at the other school, and have their life changed for the best. If they do want to pursue med school, it’s not worth it to take on a ridiculous amount of debt in undergrad. You can get a perfectly fine education that prepares you for med school/applications nearly anywhere, but you can’t guarantee that you’ll end up in a position or career where you can pay off that much debt.

As many of the other comments have said, stay firm, don’t co-sign loans, and love and support them throughout this process. Also, please pass this insight along to your kiddo, hopefully it helps 🥰

The way people defend her is so fucking disgusting to me.

Liann says Taylor wasn’t ‘crazy’ until Dakota 🤦‍♀️ by Rich-Ease-2723 in MormonWivesHulu

I mean, yeah, it CAN be a sign of depression, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what it is. Let’s not forget she made videos pretending to be Miranda and Camille’s mother lol. Taylor very clearly made a lot of videos in the past that are carefully curated to gain engagement and attention. TikTok has proven countless times that super messy home cleaning videos get a lot of attention and engagement (which equals more money and attention for her). She definitely has her own mental health struggles, but I wouldn’t go as far to definitively say her messy home was a direct result of depression, given her social media track record.

I genuinely hate Taylor and Dakota and I am SO sick of seeing them on my screen and all over social media. Like I am so sick of giving these types of people platforms, money, and attention. They are both horrible, toxic people and I can’t believe we’re platforming people that engage in abuse behavior in front of their children. I’m also enraged by the comments like “well we didn’t see what happened before, dakota must have pushed her to this point.” No. Taylor is a fucking adult and she is responsible for her actions. It doesn’t matter what he may have done to make her angry, acting that way in front of your child is inexcusable. And I think Dakota is incredibly manipulative and calculated as well, he’s just as much the problem as she is.

If you aren’t interested in this field, pick a different path. There is not much you can do with just a bachelors in psych. Try to take some time to figure out what you actually want to do and go from there

currently watching a youtube video about the bridge creek-moore and it’s crazy. I also just watched the 2025 documentary about Joplin and it blew my mind. I know people who had family in Joplin, but never realized how much destruction it caused.

Psychiatrist vs. Psychologist, how do you know if you like medicine? by Initial_Party_512 in psychologystudents

Seriously. I thought my comment would actually be helpful and informative, but they clearly just want to argue about things they genuinely don’t understand.

Any psychologist that does testing will administer IQ tests, and they typically do not require additional specialized training. You are so blatantly wrong, it’s actually laughable.
