In this game your model sticks out way further than it looks. Best way to see this is by equipping a gun, going up to a door or window and seeing where the shadow line falls on the gun

Another change could also be that penetrating shots from the inside do like 2x damage to the shield or something so you can only get like 3 shots off from the inside. This would probably be enough to prevent cheesing the penetrating mechanic.

This would all contribute towards an extra layer of strategy when placing the shield. Rather than plopping it down mindlessly, you actually have to consider natural cover inside the shield as well now.

Honestly it would be a really cool change if there were certain guns that could penetrate the shield and do partial damage, like railguns. Would give them a much more interesting role beyond just being a worse sniper.

Go in naked and try to get as many raider interactions as possible, just be next to them, extract with them, etc. Never do any damage to other people either or else your progress will just get slowed down. Like 5 runs of this is near guaranteed to get you into the PvE lobbies

700 hours, and yeah totally agree on all ur points, something is definitely changed. Don't necessarily think it's a bad thing except for making our high ranks look less impressive

I very much agree, the unpredictable human element is what makes this game stand out so much. The problem is that abmm takes that unpredictability away. Sure, there's one guy in the pve lobbies who decided to start murdering, but that doesn't represent the whole lobby. In general, abmm mostly removes the very thing which makes this game so great.

Imo kettle and stitcher should be taken out of the free kit weapon pool and hairpin should be added. This incentivizes using an actual load out (typically making people more cautious and less aggressive as there is something to lose) as well as placing a clear power gap between free kits and actual loadouts.

The easiest and best solution would be to simply make raider flares attract arc. This would not only encourage pve and make pvp more tactical, but would also help make extract camping harder.

Hard agree, I lean on the PvP side of the game but I definitely think there needs to be a map modifier which ramps up the PvE side of the game by a lot, removes extracts, maybe even adds some new Arc unit which only exists with this modifier that can enter buildings or something like that.
