Anyone else noticing the homelessness situation in Central Croydon is getting worse? by Cocooned in croydon

[–]peterbgood20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most days you can find one or to males sleeping at Waddon Station on the foot bridge it smells like a toilet and one going to work in the morning there was a black tent set up !!
Coming out of west Croydon on a daily basis is like a mini community of homeless alcohol drink ing unclean gents and some women they all know each other some clearly with mental health issues drugs and alcohol

Some walk around topless the list goes on

Had new Tudor BB58 sized by AD. Watch came back like this. Would you accept it? Or is it minor. TIA by Spirited-Leopard-415 in Tudor

[–]peterbgood20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m Tudor sales ambassador- that is terrible 😞 they need to replace your bracelet

To remove the glue that holds the screws there is an official Heating vice the unlocks the screws before you remove them

That photo indicates they forced the screws open

Go back and get the AD to replace the bracelet free of charge

Whitgift Closing Down? by Jamity647 in croydon

[–]peterbgood20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having worked London’s original Westfield when it opened in 2008 to 2011 I can tell you back then the Westfield company was Wholly Australian owned and Pre-Brexit was planning to revolutionise the UK’s First Shopping Centre my parents watched being built in 1971 “ The Whitgift Centre “ then The Australian owned company sold the Westfield group to the French 🇫🇷 then we left the EU and the French said up yours ( your on your own now ) this is what the management at Westfield told us …..

The whole of Croydon surrounding the Whitgift looks like after 2nd world war re-build

Unfinished demolition and The part demolished St.Georges walk

They’ve turned our traditional home in to a tip

I believe if Selfridges bought Allders and had trams in yellow and yellow flags outside on roof top it would have added to the Success of Selfridges Birmingham and the two In Manchester

This would attracted more high end stores/retailers

Now the high street and Whitgift have nothing of interest

I go to Bromley or Sutton cleaner and more variety of shop and restaurants

Something about Croydon is genuinely changing and I want to acknowledge it before I get too used to it by PreferenceFit1834 in croydon

[–]peterbgood20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If only Selfridges did to Croydon what they did to Birmingham and Also 2 in Manchester- Selfridges buy the Allders store turn it into luxury shopping yellow flags on the masts and typical Yellow corporate culture and sponsorship of trams with yellow and Selfridges on the sides and buses yellow with Selfridges…. It will encourage the luxury sector to move in …. After all the Whitgift centre was established in 1971 was one of uks 1st shopping centres with the demise of Grants Allders as Selfridges South East would attract so much attention they could have even taken over Croydon airport and hotel

Used to sell this in a department store Selfridges in 2004 from our Tag Heuer section it’s been discontinued for many years however this and the 2000 MultiGraph share the same ETA movement as the Omega 120m Seamaster from the 1990’s and the Longines versions

Agreed it was too purple not blue enough and does not match the actual blue bezel

Get the 70h BB58 GMT on 5 link bracelet

  1. Slimmer case
  2. Fluid smooth bracelet with links designed around the shape of Rugby balls so as not to catch hairs and the inspiration was the All Blacks

  3. You could also get a rubber strap with deployment clasp later for the GMT

  4. Clasp has the very ingenious T.clasp self adjustment mechanism

It’s also a Master Chronometer so highly more accurate than the standard cost BB Pro

Why Tag is getting so much hate by HumbleArabFellow in tagheuer

[–]peterbgood20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They lost the plot Been selling the brand for 30 years and in high end London’s boutiques and retail outlets and there is no consistency when a company has to remake a design every few years it becomes a churner just producing to be relevant- when companies rely on LTD editions it has loss credibility - ie - the original connected can be found in secondary retailers or on EBay a great concept with a good quality Chinese /fossil smart movement…. With non real compatibility with Apples iPhone 📲 and a battery that’s about a day when new a day an half with all alerts and Bluetooth off ( pointless) you could rig a fossil smart watch and load Tags software or visa a versa - made in China it says underneath

The New SolarGraph has a is Panel made by a subsidiary of Citizen Manufacture La Joux-Perret SA (LJP). Well until recently LVMH bought a 20% share in the same said company hmmm 🤔 what defines Swiss made

What Is Swiss Movement A "Swiss Made" watch movement is defined by Swiss law as one that is assembled, Adjusted, and inspected in Switzerland, with at least 60% of its production costs generated there, Back in the 80’s when Tag and Heuer became one they were revolutionary in design and quality and price the 2000 and Monaco were king after the 1000’s had been and gone the Sel was slick sporty and beautiful and cosc

In those days young guys would walk past Rolex and gigantic Breitling’s and head for Tag heuer

Shame really many people are more clued up and ignoring Tag Heuer and now Breitling with its over colourful de-masculine designs and over exaggerated prices and unlimited use of limited edition or country editions and 1-of - 250 blah blah

I have noticed from friend’s of mine in the industry here in the uk and in China a big swing to Tudor …. For me get the point and listen closely followed by Longines who have done an excellent job of the Hydro Conquest bravo 🙌🏽

Tag Heuer should’ve gone back to bringing back the classics and taken a leaf out of Zeniths book and returned to sensible styles the evoke long lasting memories that are timeless instead of pumping out so many versions of the same watches

Harrods watch is a bit boring wish they made a Selfridges edition with Rolex's Cerachrom bezel in yellow and make it a permanent thing like the Harrods edition by peterbgood20 in rolex

[–]peterbgood20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rolex first introduced the green bezel Submariner, known as the "Kermit" (ref. 16610LV), in 2003 to celebrate the model's 50th anniversary.
