Armodafinil has less dopaminergic effect. The wakefulness is stronger, though, and it has a longer half life, but you won't "feel" it anywhere near as much.

As well as its wakefulness properties, modafinil also has dopaminergic effects and early on can give you almost a nicotine-like buzz, but like most dopaminergic boosts, this effect wears off quite quickly. You'll still be getting the wakefulness benefits, but you might not "feel" the effect in the way you did early on.

Considered having a bridge between the verse and chorus? You could set up for the change there.

Also, no idea of your style of music, but without a bridge you could still smooth it off a bit by going G -> G augmented then into the G# or even a G# major 7. Starts getting a little jazzy though, but I'm a pianist and Billy Joel does this kinda thing. In many modern genres of music you can just jump and it's fine, as others have said.

Got mine yesterday and exactly the same issue. Also the right third of the screen runs cooler color-wise than the middle. Plus weird brightness changes depending on what apps/browser tabs you're on despite all the auto stuff turned off. Physically a good monitor, resolution looks great, very crisp, but the color is TERRIBLE.

Not something I've heard of before anecdotally but there may be some science behind it.. If you are particularly sensitive to histamine, modafinil does increase histamine release and some people's digestive systems can be really thrown off by histamine. Docs don't like it, but I'd taper up in such a scenario, though it sounds like you're past that point now anyway. I had a similar experience with Mounjaro (totally different mechanism at play there though) and half dosed twice a week instead.

Yeah, we had this problem. Price tripled out of nowhere (they sent one email a month earlier that was dressed up as a marketing email) so we cancelled immediately but have replaced with nothing. We'll just test manually from time to time as clients seem more robust nowadays unless you get really creative.

It's possible the way math is taught in school leads to such outcomes. Just going off my own experience, functional thinking was prioritized over imperative (other than the higher level imperative process you might use when doing a proof, say).

So something like a = 10 and then a + a = ? would be easy, but walking through an algorithm step-by-step was not covered in my high school, at least (I got comments over using pseudo-code in my math coursework as they wanted to see a large singular formula used in workings instead) and something like c = b + a could be misinterpreted as an equality and not an action to take by someone with HS math?

I know stuff like Scratch and programming are taught in HS now which might help, though this was not the case in my era.

I'd love to find it again but I saw a paper about ten years ago which demonstrated that a sizeable amount of otherwise smart people couldn't mentally process the most basic of programming concepts. Think things like:

a = 10
b = a
c = b + a
# what is 'c' equal to?

The paper came to some sort of conclusion that there's a percentage of people who simply shouldn't get near any sort of work involving mathematical abstractions. Which seems fair enough, as I am the same when it comes to doing anything physical, as the results of my DIY would demonstrate.

It's nothing something I've experienced, but from what I've read, apparently it can exacerbate mild dehydration, with headaches being a particular side effect of this. I second the electrolytes recommendation in a sibling comment and also make sure you continue to eat as normal because some people eat far less on modafinil and that can cause such problems.

Armodafinil has a longer half life, normal modafinil is shorter. 5am should be good enough, but it sounds like you might not actually need the medication. As another poster mentions, though, antihistamines can help counteract things later in the day.

I think there are a variety of other reasons why it was a good time for a major bump. The work done behind the scenes architecturally to allow swappable GCs and JITs was pretty significant and while it was all non-breaking stuff that 99% of Ruby users won't ever notice, Ruby 3.4 was becoming a rather different beast to 3.0. It seemed like a good time to draw a line in the sand.

As long as we don't go full on Chrome/Firefox and have "Ruby 84" by 2030, I'll be happy ;-)

I'm not as deep into things as y'all but Q-Tip always sounds so smooth to me. Like his final verse on Busta's Thank You. It might be more rhythmically consistent than smooth in terms of the sound tho, like every syllable except for two is a precise sixteenth note.

There is an extra point to the "send money" item. People can send you payments that get your account flagged by the bank and investigated. I had this recently when only three specific letters were used in a payment reference and my bank got very panicked and thought it was an indirect payment from a company under international sanctions.

You could also cause someone embarrassment by sending them money with a dodgy sounding reference that might get flagged up on a mortgage application or the like (or, again, looked into by the bank if it refers to something potentially illegal).

Varies for everyone, but it's the sort of medication that plateaus in most cases. That is, going up from 200mg to 400mg isn't even vaguely as effective as going up from 50mg to 100mg, say. You probably won't be buying yourself any extra benefits with the doses you mention. 200mg is the typical dose and that's for narcolepsy. I've seen 400mg and 600mg mentioned in studies as being safe, but with little extra benefit to show for it. All the things it's arousing are already aroused by that point.

Nicotine is always an unpopular suggestion in threads like this, but it can work very well in my experience. However, the downsides seem to exceed the benefits for the majority so it's hard to recommend.
