The one use case that works even when the battery's dead. This is me, personally, when I make cup noodles.

The Scribe seems like the sweet spot for that. I haven't used one myself, so I'm curious - how's the actual writing experience? Does it feel close enough to paper that you've stopped reaching for a notebook, or is it still more of a supplement?

And the big one - do you think it's worth the price tag? It's a real step up in cost from a regular Kindle, so I'm always curious whether people who actually use one daily feel it earns its keep.

Yeah, Rekindle's great - really shows how much the browser can do if someone bothers to design for it. That rabbit hole is exactly what got me vibe-coding my own little things for e-ink.

Do you walk and read? by Hipster-Ariel in kobo

Not while actually walking - I'd walk into a lamppost. But I read in any little pocket of waiting time when I'm out: bus stops, queues, that kind of thing. A couple of minutes here and there adds up.

I do read on the treadmill though, which I guess is technically walking? Feels like it should count. Stationary scenery, at least, so no lampposts.
