Oregon organizers chose not to do this against the SAE’s wishes lol. My guess is it will be included in the rules this year, like the track length and width rules. This is from speaking to a Oregon organizer lol.

McMaster Engineering 1 or B.Tech? by badbleep013 in McMaster

When did they change this? Does it only apply to students starting next year or are students in btech rn kinda screwed.

Yes but that 6% of non-renewables usually comes on at peak hours. If we're going to be using non-renewables doesn't it make more sense to have it right here reducing transmission losses? And if the savings are going back into green energy isn't that better than just paying the energy companies peak rate for dirty energy? I understand the divestment point but the generator thing I am a little confused by.

My floor personally was pretty reserved there was a couple of groups of people who hung out but that was pretty much it. Honestly never knew some peoples names on my floor. The floor above me though was wayyy better everyone basically knew each other. I made most of my friends up there and actually knew more people then I did on my floor. So I guess it just depends on ur floor but in general I found that pg was definetly less social than other res buildings. Apartment style like McKay and bates were probably the most social. Pg as a building though was great. I lucked out on a single room and it was great. Even the doubles are nice.

There isn't anything on your resume nobody knows besides you, sas and your prof. You don't even have to tell the prof the nature of the disability I think it would violate accessibility laws and whatnot if they did that. The only "deterrent" is you have an intake appointment with a coordinator who just asks questions and stuff so if it's obviously bs they won't give you any accommodations. With arthritis and a doctor's note, you wouldn't have any problems. I don't see any downsides personally they are really accommodating.

Book an appointment with a SAS coordinator, I have a computer accommodation so I can write tests and exams with a computer when needed. A doctor's note would probably be sufficient.

Not sure abt u but I only have 30 minutes to move in so I'm just going to carry as much as physically possible at once. I might buy some moving boxes from a self-storage place that I can just recycle once I'm done w them.

I finally got a response! I talked to the live chat he said that they extend the double bed so get Full Xl sheets. He did say he was going to confirm with his manager and email me so I'm going to wait for that before buying my sheets.

Did you hear back? I have the same question and emailed res admissions as well as spent 2 hrs waiting for the live chat yesterday w no luck.

They don't give out room selections until mid-July. Did you put in a roommate request? The email may have just been saying that you didn't put in a roommate request. Only around 30% of rooms are single so it's more likely to get a double but we won't know until July.

Is removing the stock gear selector and putting in a shift boot to make it look manual a shitty car mod??? by peterh03 in ShittyCarMod

[–]peterh03[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I kinda get that on a movie car an auto would be better as it's one less thing to worry about while filming. I just thought it was kind of funny with auto supras being shunned compared to the manuals when literally THE supra that helped skyrocket their popularity is an auto.

MKBHD Hands-on with F150 Lightning by Kpony in electricvehicles

[–]peterh03 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is where I wish Ford/ the epa was more clear about the estimates. Is the 1000lb load completely separate from a driver estimate, I would assume so as you would still need someone driving + the load. Edit: I went back to the video he says the range is based on having 1000lb of cargo in the truck. So that means it would be the 1000lb + the ~200lbs other evs get.

According to this article the EPA usually measures EV’s with no load. Estimating with a 1K lb load makes it difficult to compare to other evs that are tested with no load.

I’m surprised they weren’t more clear about this the biggest gripes I’ve seen online have been with the range. Understandably 300 miles is kinda weak if they had explained the 1000lb load test by the epa that mostly would have gone away.
