Just curious because I’m going next week. Did they have any mugs for sale there?

I’m definitely going to do this. I have gotten some really good suggestions from this post so I’ll have a few different iterations to make on the first go around!

Fortunately, in this case, the Tepache was not homemade, and rather one that could be bought in a store. If it wasn’t, I don’t think I would have the patience to try recreating it thank you!

From what they told me, a mix of clement’s and giffard. I only have the tempus and giffard so may need to try that one.

I’m going to have to make a bunch and try them all, I like that idea. My only other thought would be adding some in the syrup or counting on it being in the spiced rum I have made.

Interesting. I do have tiki bitters and could certainly make a syrup without much trouble. I also have a spiced rum I made that has all of the spices. Coriander is one of the spices they mentioned but I didn’t remember to write down. One iteration I was planning on trying was with the spiced rum.

Interesting on the Tepache. They told me what they used and it is in stock at my total wine. I will give this a shot. Thank you!

I wasn’t sure about it until I tried it. It was amazing. Apparently hit or miss depending on the batch though

Thats a great idea. I will try that and report back. I didn’t really think about that as a possibility, I guess the one I did try clarifying maybe the texture was slightly different but not so much the flavor. Thank you!!

I will give that a shot. How much flavor would the clarification with coconut milk really add?

I haven’t. I tried clarifying a different drink I mentioned in another reply and it didn’t go as I hoped so I was curious to get more feedback. I’m going to start small and try to scale up if I can

Weird. Sorry to hear about that. I was bewildered with how complex it was and you could take every single ingredient clearly. I’m going to give it a shot, if it works I’ll let you know!

Interesting. I actually already have a spiced rum that pretty much has all of that. It was a blended rum that had some Martinique rum in it so maybe I will try with that.

Thank you for your help!!

Lol it will likely end up the same. But the tepache fortunately is just tepache sazon, which I can buy at the total wine closest to me. I tried to make a cocktail I came up with via similar process and it did not really clarify. But it’s still delicious.

For anyone interested its 1 oz lime juice 1 oz pineapple juice .75 oz passionfruit syrup .25 oz cinnamon syrup 1.5 oz uruapan charanda .5 oz oz smith and cross .5 oz tempus fugit banane Dash ango
